You know Stan, the scriptures say, that the end of days and His return will be like the days of Noah.
People will be laughing, making merry, eating and drinking, giving their hand in marriage.
When it happens - suddenly - it will unfortunately be many peoples wake up call. They are not watching and waiting. I hear and see the same in America. “Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know”…..this is what many say to me. ‘Live and Love, for tomorrow we may die.’ But you see, many have no belief, no faith, no knowledge of the true God who is coming to Redeem this world of wickedness and unbelief. They are like frightened sheep, all huddled together in the security of normalcy.
Prolonged fear can do that. Blinded eyes also.
We must pray for them, and continue to be the watchmen now that the night has descended.

Also, I have no intelligent comments concerning Syria. It is possible they plan to strike. We are living in a time of “war mentality” and scripture says, ” when warriors are warring…nothing remains clear. I would imagine this boils down to the mistrust in everything and everyone as the politicians and armies prepare for war. I am aware of the prophecy that speaks the utter destruction of Damascus.

[...] A commenter over at Stan’s blog noted that Jesus foretold that people would grow increasingly apathetic, even about their own security, just before His return. [...]

When Israel did not fight to win a decisive victory last summer with the Lebanon “conflict” they sat themselves up as “sitting ducks.” Israel’s enemies, I am sure, have joined together and discussed their “forthcoming” victory over Israel. The question remains: Forthcoming—-when????

I pray that the military leadership in Israel, when they are drawn into battle, will FIGHT TO WIN!!! Any sign of backing down or away is always considered a sign of weakness, instability, and the chance to possibly wipe Israel off of the map….

I continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the Land of Israel, and for a NEW Administration!!!!

[...] There’sa great deal of smoke, but will there be fire? Since early this year, rumors of war have rippled and bounced in concentric circles - sometimes tighter, sometimes wider – here and there - from Damascus to Jerusalem and back. … …more [...]

The words and warnings of Jesus come to me…”there will be wars and rumors of wars…I am coming like a thief…what I say to you I say to all, watch.” The thing to do, it seems to me, is to keep watching and to be ready for His coming. Are we ready for what lies ahead? Are we yearning to be with our LORD, loving him above all else? Are we obedient servants? Are we humble and loving toward our fellow man, woman, and child? I pray that I may please my LORD and Master at all times. No matter what. Praise be to Him.

We are all living in a nervous expectancy. whether war comes in the morning or two weeks from now. The point is to put our hope and trust in Yeshuah who is neither sleeping nor slumbering. Watch, ..pray…and stay sober. The Victory is His. It does not matter from whence it commeth (Syria? Iran? or Egypt.) In God,s Eyes they are all history. Only stay strong in faith and hope. Satan likes to see us spiritually defeated. This is the time to “lift up our eyes for our redemption draweth nigh” and pray for the PEACE of YERUSALEM They need it now more than ever.

I just want to agree with Hanna. Prayer is needed more than ever. Holy Spirit, teach us to pray exactly what You want us to pray with regard to this serious situation. Lead us.

Debkafile (http://www.debka.com/) reported in the last few weeks a downgrade of a possible confrontation with Syria/Iran - estimating November, instead of this summer, as a Khotspot for war.

It’s a little unnerving, what, with all the mobilization going on and chatter of war milling about, but I hold the firm belief that Israel will come out the victor in any war with its instigating neighbors.

With the recent cooperation between Israel and Jordan, it is becoming more and more like watching a drama unfold. Egypt is not immune to disaster, as we should also remember Isaiah 19 has not come to pass either just yet…
