Party on, world

Posted on Thursday 31 December 2009

Today, as midnight arrives in country after country, explosions of celebration are set to rend the skies, from over the Opera House in Sydney (GMT minus 10 hours) to over Pearl Harbor in Hawaii (GMT plus 10 hours).

Wherever the Gregorian calendar is held to, toasts will be drunk, fireworks fired, dances kicked off, resolutions made and new wall calendars hung.

As the final days of 2009 ticked away, television networks and other media parsed the main happenings of the year, held votes for the most influential people of the year, and tried their hand at forecasting the events they believe could come to pass in 2010.

The annual, worldwide party has almost “everyone” hyped up with excitement and anticipation.

Almost, but not quite, everyone. From here in Israel, in a strange – almost eerie way – the Christmas and New Year holidays appear to be happening way “out there.” The mood, the atmosphere – the bright lights, decorations and festivities – all seems to mostly pass Israel by. Apart from in the Arab-occupied town of Bethlehem and among the tiny Christian minority and the ex-patriots – Christmas Day here was an ordinary working day, and New Year’s Eve and Day are normal working and school days.

It’s a strange feeling. I watch on Sky News and Fox News as 2009 flickers out and 2010 is ushered in “all around us” and think – not for the first time, about how out of step Israel is with the rest of the world; in another, more serious sense, how alone.

There can be little doubt about what the international community’s wishes are for Israel in 2010. The Muslim world will be hoping to secure Israel’s destruction – through terrorism, war and the global outlawing of the Jewish state – in the coming year. The “Christian” world will be hoping to secure a peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs – at Israel’s expense and to the Arabs’ benefit, in a way that will ensure as much as possible the stability of the oil market.

Yes, western democratic leaders and eastern despotic mullahs will continue to plot and plan ways to realize their aims and goals with this nation. Will Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama succeed in squeezing Israel into compliance with their plans? Will Mahmoud Ahmadinejad triumphantly announce Iran’s acquisition of an atomic bomb? What about the newly-strengthened European Union? What about Syrian belligerency, Lebanon’s Hizb’allah, Gaza’s Hamas, Ramallah’s Fatah? Will Marwan Barghouti be released and in him, Yasser Arafat rise sphinx-like from the grave?

How much longer can Israel stand? As we look into 2010, polls in the country show that Israelis are more pessimistic about what lies ahead than they were a year ago. Without question, the pressures have continued to mount exponentially year after year. While things have been relatively still on the surface since Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip a year ago, few here doubt that this is anything other than the quiet before the storm.

Unsurprisingly, then, there are lots of questions; plenty of unknowns. In the face of this, Isaiah 41:9-14 is a source of great encouragement to me. I have taken the liberty of inserting a few thoughts between each line:

But you, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.

The Mighty God directs His following comments to Israel, that is Jacob: not some spiritual entity but to the physical children of Israel.

You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called you from the chief men thereof, and said to you, You are my servant; I have chosen you, and not cast you away.

Contrary to what so many Christians (God forgive us) espouse, God has not cast His ancient people away.

Fear you not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Exhortation after exhortation: Don’t be afraid; don’t be dismayed – because HE IS YOUR GOD. He will strengthen, help and uphold His nation.

Behold, all they that were incensed against you shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them, and shall not find them, even them that contended with you: they that war against you shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nothing.

Oh, no matter how powerful the nations, how influential, how deceitfully diplomatic or belligerently boastful; neither the power of the White House nor the power of a nuclear bomb amounts to anything Israel need fear. Mighty as they seem, these nations are doomed to disappear, to destruction, to everlasting nothingness.

For I the LORD your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, Fear not; I will help you. Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you, said the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Small Israel might be. Sheep without a shepherd. A worm in the site of the world. A worm to be squashed, as far as the nations are concerned, but a small nation to be lifted up, shielded and protected as far as the God of Israel is concerned.

Party on, world, with your guilty pleasures, your twisted reality shows, your power trips and blood lust, your manifest hatred of God and devious designs on His land.

Those of us who love Him, love His purposes and love His appearing – we can pray and call upon the God of Israel:

Arise, O LORD,

Do not let man prevail;

Let the nations be judged in Your sight.

Put them in fear, O LORD,

That the nations may know themselves to be but men.

(Psalm 9:19,20)

Amen and Amen! The world’s television’s delusions of celebrations and lust will soon come to a screeching end~~ as with every second ticking on the clock the Day of Lord draws nearer.. The world’s ‘real’ people, I fear, are not so celebratory as theTV stars, news and shows portray, but are truly more anticipatory of what the new year holds. As Christians we know what is coming. As lovers of Israel and ZION we can only say “Hold fast !” and pray. Fret not dear Jerusalem! The everwatching, ever present Lord is near and mighty to save. Ps. 91

I am one of many American people who love & pray for Israel. God sees & God is on the throne, they will never be alone. Nothing can happen to them without His permission. I was watching a TV show today, so many miracles He did for them to establish them as a nation. I long for the day their eyes will be open to their Messiah and the return of their hearts to the true and living God. I know He has a remnant living among them today and I pray the number will grow. I love the people of Israel.

Yes, indeed - G-d’s arm is not shortened that it cannot save! And though no man will stand in defense of Israel, HE will accomplish Israel’s defense! It will not be long till the entire world will be astounded at GOD’s Deliverance! It will be so MIGHTY that it will be spoken of around the world among those still remaining alive. I believe THAT event is so soon that it could well be part of 2010! This comment comes from a Gentile Believer in the God of Israel. Viktoria

    Hi Stan–

Always good to read your thoughts. I pray your schooling is going well.

Indeed, many (most?) Gentile Christians have no idea about how much the Father loves Israel, the people AND the land to this day and beyond. If anything, many (most?) have replaced “Israel” with “the church.” My co-pastor and I feel compelled to help people see Israel through the eyes of the Father. Thank you for pointing to scriptures that are specifically written to and for Israel. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard and seen the Isaiah passage you quoted turned into a personalized promise to a believer. “Father, please forgive what is ignorance at best and blasphemy at worst.”

I know that many things must happen prior to this event, but, how I pray for the day Israel will look upon the One Who was pierced and proclaim, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” Even so, come Lord Jesus.

It is a good thing to be alone in this mad world. We are seperate, a peculiar people to the masses. We are His special treasure who are confident in knowing that He loves us, He sent His Son to die for us, He is once again coming to the Land in which He left 2000 years ago. Coming yet again, not as a child of innocence but as a great conquering King. He will slay His enemies with the word of His mouth. He will establish a Kingdom unlike any mankind has ever known. Look up, tiny Israel, your Redeemer is even at the door! Your Savior is soon to arrive. Do not depend upon the chariots and horses of the EU, the United States of America or a piece of paper with the word “peace” inscribed upon it. Israel’s peace is in her eternal King; the Creator of all things. The earth is His and everything in it!

Indeed, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, will never allow any of His Word to fall to the ground. He is the faithful God who cannot lie, who keeps His Word. Praise God, our Lord Jesus is coming to save His people who trust in Him. The Prince of Peace will come. Even so come, Lord Jesus.

I am a christian and I believe in Gods word. I believe that Israel belongs to the Jewish nation. Hillary Clinton and President Obama are so wrong in what they are trying to do to Israel. They will bring Gods wrath upon our nation. If people profess to be christian then why do they not trust what God says in his word? If they believe as a christian then they must believe in the bible, word for word. I love Israel and pray for them and God to protect them. They should not give up any of their land for anyone!
God gave it to them, I feel so bad for them, the world is so against them, but I know there are many people praying and will stand for them. I know God will protect them, because he says he will. I believe that with my whole heart. Thankyou, Father

Another stirring commentary, Stan. Bless you!

And Israel – know that you are not alone! For the God of Israel is with you!

And tonight, as the world parties, this is what we have planned to do in our home…spend a quiet evening together with Israel’s God. Although it is out of season, since Hanukkah is already past, we will none-the-less light the hanukkiah one last time, as the year 2009 ends and the year 2010 begins. And as we watch the lights of Hanukkah burn, penetrating the darkness of this world, we will declare to the unseen reality that we have chosen to stand on the side of Israel’s God, with His People and His Land, and we will pray for the peace of Jerusalem as the storm clouds gather around her, and we will declare that the wings of the Most High God will be her protection in the coming days! Praise to the God of Israel! He is the Mighty One!

“You who live in the shelter of ‘Elyon,
who spend your nights in the shadow of Shaddai,
who say to Adonai, “My refuge! My fortress!
My God, in whom I trust!’ –
he will rescue you from the trap of the hunter
    and from the plague of calamities;
he will cover you with his pinions,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his truth is a shield and protection.” – Psalms 91:1-4 CJB

It saddens my heart to hear that the Israeli people grow weary of the continued push against them but I can truly understand. Thank you for your articles and information as it is truly appreciated. I never thought about Israel never celebrating the holiday season even though we do not either but as I read your words I could see the aloneness that you might feel. Being a Zionist Arab with a true love for Israel and the Jewish People, I and my wife pray, every day, for your safety and well being to the Maker of Heaven and Earth and the revelation of the Messiah Yeshua, to be revealed to the Jewish people all over the world. Even though the world turns agianst you, never forget that you have a people that are brothers and sisters in every nation, that truly stand with you and lift you up continually. May the God of Israel keep you and bless you!

As we continue to lean on our Savior, we know that Israel will receive the blessings that the Lord pronounced for it so many, many centuries ago. Our Lord has not changed. He has not turned His back on His chosen people. My prayers are for the Peace of Jerusalem. When that comes about, the Messiah will be here and justly ruling the world. Praise the Lord! How beautifully you have expressed the truth, Stan. Keep it up and keep looking up!

Alas, Stan you are right BUT only for the end. Yes God will protect and restore the WHOLE of ISRAEL, not only JUDAH.Please repent, the next Shoah is coming from the NORTH, EUROPE. WWII was only a dress rehearsall compared to what Germany is preparing. So many BAD NeWS in thecompilation of 2009 shows that mankind can’t live in peace. Only the Moshiah will bring peace, because the way of peace,, they know not..( Ezech:13:10) Pray the GREAT GOD OF HOST, the ETERNAL GOD. and he will deliver you IF YOU, yes YOU turn to him.
1 Sam 13:13 shows that obedience is better than sacrifices, religious people ,even in Israel will not act according to God’s will, who lets the Deut 28 and Lev 26 curses touch HIS PEOPLE! read it again!

Israel’s believers are in step - it is we (in the West) who are out of step! Please do not allow yourself to become bitter about everyone outside Israel. There is a groundswell of believers faithfully in prayer for you & dear Israel, ‘the apple of God’s eye.’ He has given us His supernatural love for you all. There is also an ever growing number of believers out here who are discovering what is right in the eyes of God. egs (Passover & not Easter) ( Jewish calendar, versus Gregorian one) (Saturday - ‘hallowed & blessed,’ not Sunday) We have been ‘brainwashed,’ & hundreds of years of doing things one way are not easily washed away in a moment. We are discarding the pagan parts of our faith that were mixed in with The Way & presented to us as ‘truth’ - as God leads us into discovering them, abandoning them & spreading the Word.
I do also become disheartened sometimes with the slow pace of change around about me, however I daily remind myself that God is in control of everything that is happening right now in Heaven and on earth. ‘Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow’ & our Triune God’s timing is always perfect. There are reasons why much of the believing world outside Israel are still ‘blind’ in many areas - God alone knows the ‘why.’ Let’s all stay in the fight, stand on all the many promises of God. Let us claim the victory, for we are in a battle which has already been won by our Lord Yeshua’s great sacrifice His death & resurrection. Thank you Stan & all those faithful souls in Jerusalem & throughout Israel who are getting the real Truth out there from ‘the city of the great KING.’ (I for one, was unsure whether you did celebrate the western new year or not, so now I know.) Mmmm, a question for you or one of your readers - is it ok for us in the west to call Jesus ‘Messiah’ and ‘Yeshua’? I love those terms & much prefer them to ‘Jesus’ & ‘Christ’

May the Lord grant you times of rest & refreshing & His peace.

    Stan,
I write to encourage you and all your fellow people of Israel. I believe it was Elijah who complained after his great victory over the false phophets of Baal, “I alone am the only believer left (my paraphrase), and God answered: “I have reserved for myself 7,000 of my ‘believers.’” Remember all who claim to be Chirstians are not necessarily true believers; they are “nominal” Christians–Christians in name only.
–the chaf which will be burned up. But true Christians that love the Lord, and try to follow in His footsteps, love Israel, the Israel of the Bible. There are thousands upon thousands of us, perhaps millions, in the USA, Canada, and elsewhere around the world, who pray daily “for the peace of Jerusalem” and the people of Israel. So be encouraged and know that you all are not alone. Amen.

An enlightening message for the Jews: He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant. Saying, to you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance. When they were few in number, indeed very few, and strangers in it.When they went from one nation to another people. He permitted no one to do them wrong; yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones and do My prophets no harm.”
It is doubtful, but this should be an eye-opener for the Arab Nations. God Bless Israel and all Jews who dwell within her borders.

Lovely to read everyone’s words of appreciation and encouragement to you, Stan. Here are a few from me.
You know that clutch of what I think of as ‘two word prayers’ that we carry around with us and send out in the middle of doing ordinary tasks throughout ordinary days? ‘Just come.’ ‘Say enough.’ ‘Reveal truth.’ Short, real, aching.
Well, one I mutter frequently as I drive, hang washing, or brush the cat, is ‘cover Israel’…’cover her’…’let this be Israel’s time’ (more than 2 words!)
I hope that when you have that feeling of being isolated, ‘in a bubble’, that you might be able to think of prayers coming your way from all of us, from all directions, asking the God of Israel to put a big shield over you all, to keep Israel safe. This ‘covering’ is not so you will feel shut out from the rest of the world but rather feel drawn aside into a place of safety in Him, gathered under His wings, sheltered as the storm builds.
Isaiah 41:9-14 is like a steady hand: Trust in Me. Psalm 53:5 is good when I’m feeling a bit fierce, totally over lies about Israel being presented and believed as truth:
“But then they will be terrified,
as they have never been before,
for God will scatter the bones of the enemies of His people.
God has rejected them, (because they have rejected Him- my words)
and so Israel will totally defeat them”

Hi Stan! As usual, your article was Biblically correct and uplifting. So many Christians here in the US believe that the Lord Jesus is coming to take the Christians to Heaven for seven years while Israel suffers under the anti-christ. I have never seen any Biblical proof that there is a seven year tribulation at the end of time, or a seven year peace treaty between anti-christ and Israel. My Bible plainly teaches me in Matthew 24 that after the tribulation, the Lord returns and gathers together his saints. Zechariah 12-14 states that the Lord will return when all the nations of the world gather to fight against Jerusalem and Judah. Seems to me that the world’s attempt to part the land of Israel is a fulfillment of those prophecies and will culminate in the return of Jesus, the rapture of the Christians, and the salvation of the Jews (when all Israel who endure until the end shall be saved). Yes, the storm clouds are gathering while the nations eat, drink and cry peace. However, the Day of the Lord also hastens and will drive the darkness away, once and for all. Then, all the nations shall know that the Lord is King. Come quickly Lord Jesus! We desperately need you! Amen!

Excellent article. Having lived in Israel and Lebanon for 8 mos. in 1983-84, I know well the national alone feeling during these “worldly” celebrations.
Israeli’s definitely feel out of step in a positive & realistic way from the rest of the world. Sadly, many in the Body are in the Rom. 11 mindset as Paul warned i.e. “high minded” over Israel and Messianic Jews or more bluntly: replacement theology.

The most frightening passage in the N.T. (one I’ve never heard a message on) is Matt. 7:21-23 after Jesus gave His talk on “know them by their fruits.”

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I tremble just to think if I am truly following His leading or is it my own sub-conscious self-will? Living in “the Land” one experience this in a dramatic way amongst Messianic and non-Messianic Jews.

thank you for this message. as a very little group of people who are awakening for the fact we are part of Israel as from the tribe of Zebulon. We are celebrating Yahs festivals, His calendar. It is also a set apart- thing. Everybody around us is partying. But Israel in diaspora is awaking by Abba. So keep up the good faith. Abrahams seed, spiritual and physical. Not by a party-spirit, but by My Spirit says Yahweh! Jerusalem undivided!

On New Year’s Eve of 2010 I was thinking back to the 2000 New Year’s Eve world wide party, and how solemn and majestic the Old City looked on tv as it sat dark and quiet that night because the millenium changed on Shabbat. Its sad, even hearbreaking, to think about how many Christians as well as non-Christians who fail to understand God’s love for Israel, and her place in His Kingdom and this world. However, there are other Christians, myself included, who do understand, and who love, honor, and support Israel and our Jewish friends. No matter how bad things look, God will not let the powers of evil destroy the Holy land of Israel, the Holy City of Jerusalem, or His Chosen People, the descendants of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, the hope of the entire world. May God richly bless, protect and keep safe Isreal and her children in the coming year and always. Next year in Jerusalem! God willing.

Thank you for your article and your postings throughout the year. You, and a few other kindred spirits, are voices in the wilderness……….the animosity toward Israel is unbelieveable. We are amazed everyday that the American government can’t see that Israel is our ONE AND ONLY FRIEND in the middle-east. We pray for Israel and her people everyday, we know the Lord will protect her from any danger. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and that God’s Holy city remains undivided and look forward to the Lord’s return. America is under judgement for the government’s stand on Israel……….how sad that a once great country and ally to Israel, has fallen so far, we are ashamed of our governments policies. Be safe in the year to come. God Bless you.

We who believe & love the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST and through the HOLY SPIRIT we know what will happen for the coming years, we are called to preach the Gospel to the unbelievers in this endtimes, for the LORD our GOD finds no pleasure at the death of the wicked, for we fight not against flesh and blood but against spiritual darkness, this is time to double our service for GOD’s GLORY, though there are people who mock the Gospel but be strong for Great is HE who is in us than he who is in the world.

Let us keep our lamp burning for the MASTER of the house is COMING!

You have recognized a promise of G_d for Israel : you most likely have many
more of these verse that you can recall . To my regrets this nation,US, all so is a
nation that has or is in the process of being against Israel . The US president seems
not to recognize the Promised of Israel G_d . This fault can cause catastrophe for
    the united states..
This brings up a question of how can the people of the United States help
Israel. The Believers of this country could bypass our government inaction and
aid Israel directly. But Where Can One Give Aid …To help Israel. I know of no
place to give. And If one is not careful they will be aiding the enemies of Israel .
There were a few of these places closed down that were aiding terrorist purposes
they were closed down by our FBI ,government agents, for collecting money .
PLEASE: LIST some organizations were this can be done done
ESPECIALLY—– to aid Israel Military—- .

WERE CAN BELIEVERS DONATE TO AID ISRAEL 1

PLEASE LIST ! PLEASE MAKE US A LIST 1

As I read, watch and pray, my heart at times is overwhelmed with things I read about Israel. God will be God and I pray constantly for the Peace of Jerusalem, and that the Jews will not get discouraged and keep giving up land, which is not really theirs to give. It is God’s land. At times I feel so helpless, because I would like to be helping Israel to see, but I am a Senior Citizen, and my hands feel tied. But I will continue to pray for Israel, and for the Peace of Jerusalem.

The Lord’s word will not return void. (Isaiah 53:11). No weapon that is formed against you (Israel) shall prosper, and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn, this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. (Isaiah 52:17). How are hearts are encouraged by the Lord’s promises and what a blessing to read, from all parts of the world, others are standing with Israel knowing the final victory is certain. Come Lord Jesus.

Today I hastily began putting away all the Christmas decorations so carefully placed throughout my house. It’s as though I NEED them gone away immediately. As if there is something about to happen and my house needs to be in order.

There is a serious sense of pending events. Be prepared…. Be prepared my spirit has been saying… The same eerie feeling was mine as I watched the world “partying on”. Deluded into their illusions of self empowerment and self fullfilment in depravity and mocking of Biblical morality.

Jesus is my strong tower and refuge. He is my peace and my hope. The feeling of coming judgment here near the Washington, DC area is almost touchable - it’s so heavy. Pray for mercy to the Lord G-d of Israel - the one who was and is and is to come.

Pray for the scales to fall from the eyes of our US President in regards to dividing Jerusalem. Pray for the wisdom and revelation of our people before it’s too late.

Speaking of partying, there is going to be some wicked partying going according to Revelation 11 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses,] And when they shall have finished their testimony.. the beast shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.I pray every day “Lord speedily come deliver us from this wicked evil world”

Please know that in the midst of all the deception and injustice that is going on in order for “the powers that be” to attempt to destroy Israel, there is still a mighty remnant of TRUE Christians who stand with Israel–in the USA, in the EU, in Israel (you are proof of that!) and all around the world. The Lord has put into us a love for the Jewish people and for the nation of Israel that will not fade away.

Nothing will dissuade those of us whom the Lord has blessed with this love for the Jewish people and their nation, Israel. We pray frequently and fervently for her salvation and protection. We pray for God’s best for her. We pray for a great harvest of Jewish souls into the Body of Christ now, before the Lord comes in the clouds for His Bride, so that many Jewish souls will enjoy the incomparable blessings of the Church for all eternity. After all, the Jewish people are the instument through which our great God brought salvation to all people, so we pray that they will enjoy the eternal blessings of that special assignment. And we pray for Israel’s safety and blessing now, and during those future Tribulation years which are coming quickly upon the world.

I say this to encourage you and all others who read this, who may feel weary from the spiritual battle that we are engaged in. Be encouraged! Satan and his minions (both supernatural and human) are roaring about because he/they can see that their time is short. We can sense that they are working feverishly and grasping for success. God will allow His prophecies to come to pass, but it will not be a bowl of cherries for them. We pray that every so-called “victory” they win will be miserably and barely accomplished, just enough to barely fulfill every jot and tittle of God’s Word. We pray that they will constantly feel the threat of defeat; the fearful deadline approaching, knowing all the while the dreadful knowlege they are doomed because everything is coming about exactly as God proclaimed. Whatever sense of misery, fear and discomfort the fallen angels and human pawns of Satan can feel, we pray for it to occur. We pray for inefficiency, dissatisfaction, jealousy and betrayal in the Satanic ranks. We pray that their mistakes will bring about great victories for God’s chosen ones. We pray that their “sucesses” will bring about surprising blessings for God’s chosen ones. Join the battle and make use of prayer, folks! It’s the most powerful weapon that we wield!

I am glad to find a group of Chistians who seem so dedicated to Israel. Of course you are right as G-d is married Israel as His son is married to the church. However, though many scriptures tell us how much G-d loves Israel there are many scriptures that declare His total displeasure as well. Although He will never let her be destroyed, do not think He will not allow any harm come to her. Israel is about to go into captivity and during this time many will die. I wish it were not so but this is the truth. Daniel 9:27 declares that in the midst of a 7 year covenant sacrifices will be stopped. Jesus said in mathew 24:15 this was what we were to watch for to know his coming. Luke 21:20 said armies would surround Jerusalem at this time. Jesus said there will be tribulation such as never before in these days.
I don’t understand why it is not the hottest topic in Christian circles but there seems to be very few who realize that the covenant of Daniel 9:27 was signned on 01/01/2007 . Many don’t believe it is the covenant because the rapture hasn’t taken place yet or it was not a peace treaty. Well the bible never called it a peace treaty and never said the rapture would take place first. If you are willing you can prove this.
We are only 6 months from the midst of the seven whether you choose to believe it or not.
Now I will give you something that you are likely unaware of and might not accept but time will prove true. Our planet is hollow and there is a beastly kingdom beneath us that soon will be forced to come out here. They are discribed in Joel 1 and 2 and in rev 9. There is also an asteroid hit coming that will be the cause of their ascent. Isaiah 13:13 and all of rev 8. The earth will be spinning 1/3 faster when the dust settles.
It is after these events that the armies will gather to Israel to armegeddon. Israel will still be in captivity at that time. There are many prophecies that are missunderstood simply because this revelation is missing so it is hard to rightly divide the word.
It is now more important than ever that we warn this world of the coming disasters. It is when these things begin to unfold that Israel, while in captivity, will begin to realize that Jesus is the true Messiah.
Please ask the Lord with faith and conviction for a revelation of Rev 12 for it is a mid trib rapture i am sure for those who are true to Chist. The rest will have to prove their allience over the last 42 months.
    God’s witness

My heart is pierced as I read your editorial. The world and Israel are on different calendars and it is fit that we celebrate according to our culture, but many, many Christians are well aware of the differences in your calendar and ours, and are totally supportive of your causes. Our support for you is directed from our beliefs in God and Christ, but we do worship the same God. Even apart from that, Israel is so mistreated, I am amazed at just how unfair that humans can be, even evil ones. You are not alone, but those of us who are supportive are fewer in number than your enemies. In America, we must wait for another election to come around, but all Christians with whom I am aquainted will be voting for more conservative and realistic candidates than the one we last elected. Obama is evil.

Take heart, Israel has reason to be pessimistic, but to those that still follow God, there is still much hope.

Shalom to you & your family, Stan, & thank you for the grave words… know that you are not alone in your feeling of alone-ness. Many of us, also, on the other side of the globe, feel the same way. We float through the days, like drops of oil in a river of muddy water; we watch with near-amusement but mostly sadness as the world around us (& the worldly “christians”) do the pagan thing. “blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted”– He has said it Himself, “How can you think I could forget you, O Jerusalem ? Jerusalem’s Enemies to Be Destroyed

    An Oracle

1 This is the word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him, declares: 2 “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. 4 On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the LORD. “I will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. 5 Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the LORD Almighty is their God.’

6 “On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.

7 “The LORD will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah. 8 On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the LORD going before them. 9 On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.

    Isaiah 17

    An Oracle Against Damascus

1 An oracle concerning Damascus: “See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.

    Psalm 83

A song. A psalm of Asaph.

1 O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still.

2 See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads.

3 With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.

4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.”

5 With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you-

6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
    of Moab and the Hagrites,

7 Gebal, [a] Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.

8 Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot. Selah

9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,

10 who perished at Endor and became like refuse on the ground.

11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

12 who said, “Let us take possession of the pasturelands of God.”

13 Make them like tumbleweed, O my God, like chaff before the wind.

14 As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,

15 so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm.

16 Cover their faces with shame so that men will seek your name, O LORD.

17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace.

18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD—that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

    Ezekiel 25
14 I will take vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel, and they will deal with Edom in accordance with my anger and my wrath; they will know my vengeance, declares the Sovereign LORD.’ ”

    Ezekiel 37 (entire chapter)

” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

    Ezekiel 38 (entire chapter)

    Obadiah 1
15 “The day of the LORD is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.

16 Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been.

17 But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will possess its inheritance.

18 The house of Jacob will be a fire and the house of Joseph a flame; the house of Esau will be stubble, and they will set it on fire and consume it. There will be no survivors from the house of Esau.” The LORD has spoken.

    Jeremiah 49

    A Message About Ammon

1 Concerning the Ammonites: This is what the LORD says: “Has Israel no sons? Has she no heirs? Why then has Molech [a] taken possession of Gad? Why do his people live in its towns?

2 But the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will sound the battle cry against Rabbah of the Ammonites; it will become a mound of ruins, and its surrounding villages will be set on fire. Then Israel will drive out those who drove her out,” says the LORD.

3 “Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is destroyed! Cry out, O inhabitants of Rabbah! Put on sackcloth and mourn; rush here and there inside the walls,
for Molech will go into exile, together with his priests and officials.

4 Why do you boast of your valleys, boast of your valleys so fruitful? O unfaithful daughter, you trust in your riches and say, ‘Who will attack me?’

5 I will bring terror on you from all those around you,” declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty. “Every one of you will be driven away, and no one will gather the fugitives.

6 “Yet afterward, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites,” declares the LORD.

    A Message About Edom

7 Concerning Edom: This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Is there no longer wisdom in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom decayed?

8 Turn and flee, hide in deep caves, you who live in Dedan, for I will bring disaster on Esau at the time I punish him.

9 If grape pickers came to you, would they not leave a few grapes? If thieves came during the night, would they not steal only as much as they wanted?

10 But I will strip Esau bare; I will uncover his hiding places, so that he cannot conceal himself. His children, relatives and neighbors will perish, and he will be no more.

11 Leave your orphans; I will protect their lives. Your widows too can trust in me.”

12 This is what the LORD says: “If those who do not deserve to drink the cup must drink it, why should you go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, but must drink it. 13 I swear by myself,” declares the LORD, “that Bozrah will become a ruin and an object of horror, of reproach and of cursing; and all its towns will be in ruins forever.”

14 I have heard a message from the LORD: An envoy was sent to the nations to say, “Assemble yourselves to attack it! Rise up for battle!”

15 “Now I will make you small among the nations, despised among men.

16 The terror you inspire and the pride of your heart have deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks, who occupy the heights of the hill. Though you build your nest as high as the eagle’s, from there I will bring you down,” declares the LORD.

17 “Edom will become an object of horror; all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds.

18 As Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown, along with their neighboring towns,” says the LORD, “so no one will live there; no man will dwell in it.

19 “Like a lion coming up from Jordan’s thickets to a rich pastureland, I will chase Edom from its land in an instant. Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this? Who is like me and who can challenge me? And what shepherd can stand against me?”

20 Therefore, hear what the LORD has planned against Edom, what he has purposed against those who live in Teman: The young of the flock will be dragged away; he will completely destroy their pasture because of them.

21 At the sound of their fall the earth will tremble; their cry will resound to the Red Sea. [b]

22 Look! An eagle will soar and swoop down, spreading its wings over Bozrah. In that day the hearts of Edom’s warriors will be like the heart of a woman in labor.

    A Message About Damascus
23 Concerning Damascus: “Hamath and Arpad are dismayed, for they have heard bad news. They are disheartened, troubled like [c] the restless sea.

24 Damascus has become feeble, she has turned to flee and panic has gripped her; anguish and pain have seized her, pain like that of a woman in labor.

25 Why has the city of renown not been abandoned, the town in which I delight?

26 Surely, her young men will fall in the streets; all her soldiers will be silenced in that day,” declares the LORD Almighty.

27 “I will set fire to the walls of Damascus; it will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.”

Israel has my utmost support . This comes from a Gentile Christian who eagerly studies and learns as much as she can about the Jewish Roots of our faith in the God of Israel. I cannot say thank you enough to the Jewish peoples for preserving the Holy Word of God to giving birth to the Messiah, the Light of the world; Yeshua the Messiah…Jesus our Christ. I pray for the day that peace once again dwells in Jerusalem…and throughout all Israel…and the world. Stand unafraid, Isreal…stand unafraid. The God who called your back from every corner of t he world will NOT allow you to be moved again. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.

God declares who He is the pages of the scriptures, He show us in Exodus 23, and 34 what He calls the important harvests to be celebrated in the year. All these feast point to our King and Saviour. Why do the people of the world, sadly, including Christians do not watch for these, and live in hope of them until they are fufilled? What Gregory invented (Calendar) now, in the hearts of the people takes away the hope of the importance of the coming events. People are carried away by the euphoria of the so called “New year”, when actually, the year has not ended because the chapter concerning people gathering unto Him (Christ) has not come, nor New heaven and new Earth too not yet been fuflled. Stan. Let them “Paty on” Stan, lost in, and wallowing in creature (Calendar) rather in Creator (God).
Remain blessed my brother, and rejoice too, since you are not, (by His grace) among those who are in drkeness.
    Rejoice my Brother.

Stan, I find myself praying for Israel often, as she is never far from my thoughts. One thing I definitely do not want to see in 2010 is anymore ripped up communities in the name of an illusory peace. All your comments were right on. He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps — praise be!

Thanks for the encouragement of Isaiah… The nations will know that it is the God of Israel who has brought Israel back when His sanctuary is in the midst of Israel (Ezekiel 37)… Here’s a prophecy update as we head into 2010… http://bit.ly/5vKRtA

God will save his people as it says in Romans 9-11. This does not mean that the present State of Israel will be saved. For one, the founders of the State of israel despised the Torah (for example, Herzl and Weizman). If the fabulous “gay” parades of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are anything to go by, so do the “fathers” of these cities also despise the Torah.

Thank you Stan. Much confirmation was found in this piece as Ray and I came upon many of the same scriptures this past week. Our prayer room upstairs will be done in the next couple of months…just in time perhaps, as the need to get on our knees is pressing in on us. We must respond.

Imagine, Christians from all over the globe, commenting on a very well written, well timed post by our beloved friend Stan. Soon we will recognize one another in the clouds on our way to our mansions. I can hardly wait to embrace each of you. In the meantime, Love and Peace.

Shalom Stan, blessed are those slaves whom the master shall find on the
alert when He comes; truly I say to you, that He will grid himself to serve, &
have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them.

“But when these things began to take place, straighten up, and lift up your
heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Even so you, too when you see these things happening, recognize that the
    Kingdom of God is near.

Be on guard, that your hearts may not be weighted down with dissipation &
drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day come on you suddenly
like a trap. For it will come upon all those who dwell of the face of the earth.
”But, keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may escape all
these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the son of man.”

Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons
of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never
occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people,
everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. And many of those
who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but to
others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. And those who have insight will
shine brightly lilke the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who
lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

Thank you, Stan, for Standing on the brink of time and being the Watchman
G_d has called you to be for such a time as this, I stand with you, and
all who are called of the Lord to sound the Warning as Watchmen we must
be bold in the Lord, must be filled with the Word, the sword of the Spirit.
And I admonish, even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!

I read today that in Israel a very old almond tree started blooming in Dec., generally they begin blooming in Jan or Feb. It is a very old tree and the only one full of blooms in Dec. BEHOLD THE ALMOND TREE.
Here’s the Jeremiah 1:12 text, which is so significant concerning all the promises of God in these Last Days concerning Israel’s preservation and regathering:
The word of YHVH came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” And Yehovah said, you have seen well, for I AM WATCHING OVER MY WORD TO DO IT.”
