As 2009 get seriously underway, the world is ganging up on Israel more than ever before.
Like a flood foaming furiously behind a massive logjam, the river of “new” antisemitism that expresses itself in anti-Israel enmity has been gathering strength for years.
Unleashed, it has the potential to pulverize the “pestilence” that is the Jewish state.
Until just a few months ago one “key log” – the United States of America – had been holding it back.
Wielding its veto in the Security Council, the US repeatedly resisted the relentless campaign that for years demonized and sought to delegitimize Israel.
But now, 100 plus days into Barack Obama’s presidency, numerous reports and leaks assessing his planned approach to the Middle East indicate the blockage is to be removed.
There is mounting evidence that the new administration has resolved to see the biblical and historical Land of Israel divided between Jew and Arab on its watch.
It has made this decision knowing full well the unjustness of it (these are Jewish lands); the peril of it (to Israel’s existence); the bankruptcy of it (from Madrid to Annapolis, 18 years of the land-for-peace process have been 18 years of failure).
Israel will not be allowed to stand in the way; her concerns will not be given the time of day.
“The two state solution is the only solution,” emphatically stated Jewish turncoat and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel Sunday.
“Israel has to back the two state solution,” said Vice President Joe Biden Tuesday.
A few days earlier Obama’s national security adviser, General James Jones, told a European foreign minister a week ago Obama plans to be “forceful” with Israel.
“The new administration will convince Israel to compromise on the Palestinian question … we will be more forceful toward Israel than we have been under Bush.”
According to Ha’aretz, Jones is quoted as saying that the United States, European Union and moderate Arab states must redefine “a satisfactory endgame solution.”
Jones “did not mention Israel as party to these consultations.”
Former US House speaker Newt Gingrich has blasted the Obama administration for setting itself on a collision course with Israel and endangering the Jewish state.
“They are systematically setting up the most decisive confrontation that we’ve ever seen,” the leading Republican politician told The Jerusalem Post.
“There’s almost an eagerness to take on the Israeli government to make a point with the Arab world.”
The “New America”, it seems, isn’t even looking for a fig leaf to cover its nakedness. It plans to flaunt it.
The Israeli news site DEBKAfile this week gloomily analyzed the upcoming meeting between Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Netanyahu can expect the full force of a bludgeon to be wielded in his White House talks on May 18,” it said.
The Israeli leader can expect to “find administration officials deaf not only on Israel’s arguments on the Palestinian issue but on a nuclear-armed Iran too. [He] will see the US president no longer prioritizing the suspension of Iran’s nuclear aspirations, but bent on establishing a new Persian Gulf order that formalizes Iran’s rising power. Washington’s objective now is negotiations for setting the boundaries of Iran’s Middle East expansion and limits for its nuclear program.
“Israel will have no say in this process. In fact, by elevating Iran to premier regional power, America is sidelining its longstanding friends, Israel and Egypt, and setting aside their security and strategic interests for the sake of deals with Iran.”
Dennis Ross, US envoy for Iran, last week carried this message to the capitals of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, DEBKAfile reports.
A State Department team, the service continues, “is working overtime on a new American ‘road map’ [that] starts out with pressure on Israel to freeze settlement activity on the West Bank (sic) and construction in east[ern] Jerusalem.
“At a later stage, Israel would be pushed to abandon large sections of the West Bank, remove authorized communities as well as unauthorized outposts and hand over the historic nucleus of Jerusalem.
“Finally, the Israeli government would be required to accept an independent Palestinian state, even if its government is dominated by the rejectionist terrorist group Hamas.”
DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report that Obama “is fired up to be the first US president in decades of close friendship and cooperation to clash openly with Israel…”
Obama is expected “to squeeze the Netanyahu government hard for immediate engagement on the Middle East conflict without further delay … the White House staff is working at top speed on options for imposing its will.”
Eighteen years ago, Israel seemed to bottom out at a new low in world opinion.
The little country’s reputation had been on a steady, if gradual, decline since the Yom Kippur War. What sympathy was generated by that surprise assault, which nearly succeeded in obliterating Israel, had been well eroded by the outbreak of the First Intifada.
By its end, and specifically by 1991, there was no sympathy to be found.
Also by then, the worldwide admiration at the plucky nation’s victories in both that conflict and the preceding, Six Day, war – had long evaporated, to be replaced by a near-universal loathing.
The Arab-loving media had successfully primed the nations – which as history amply evidences, has an inbuilt proclivity to abhor Jewish people – to likewise loathe the Jewish state.
Come 1991 in Madrid, to which Israel was dragged for the staged – blatantly biased – “International Middle East Peace Conference,” this prejudice came strongly to a head.
Vicious then, it has only grown worse. During the last eight years, the Bush administration – with sporadic, restricted and conditional support from a handful of other nations, and despite leading the diplomatic charge – still alone withstood this trend.
That respite, it seems, is now over.
Obama and his cohorts are nothing more than Chicago style thugs. That is all they know how to do. They are ignorant and unqualified to be in leadership. Fret not! God will surely protect Israel! I pray Netanyaho will not succumb to the pressures that he will stand strong for the Lord and for Israel. The land is Israel’s. PERIOD.
We know that in the end is will be the Holy One of Israel alone who will safe his people. And He won’t do this for us, the Jewish people either, he will do it for His Own great Name, so all the world will see that He and He alone is the Partner in heaven in the covenant between G’d and Israel. There is no one else we can trust and there never was anyone. All goes the way it has to go according to the Prophets of Israel. As for Obama, he will forfeit the blessing with which the USA was blessed when it still blessed Israel. How did that country ever vote him into office…
Stan millions of Americans do not agree with Obama, I hope that Isreali people understand that. He won with a little over half the vote. The rest of the millions who voted and didn’t vote do not agree with Obama on most accounts.
The Liberal News Media would have the world believe something different than what I state above.
I believe that God, as we humble ourselves, seek HIS face, repent of our sins, and call upon His Name. He will RESTORE OUR LAND. So we have some things to do as a people who belong to Yaweh.

However, it is interesting that Germany hat an Earthquake of 4.5 last night…which gives food for thought. The nations will see the wrath of God when they are going to touch Israel yet again. We still need to preach the Gospel more than ever, time is running short.

In Zechariah 14:2, “I will gather ALL nations to fight against Jerusalem…” It is going to happen. At least Israel will have bible believing Christians standing with her in this hour. I believe it is long past time that the entire Christian community unite to the cause of preserving the State of Israel and putting down as a unworkable idea anything like the two state solution. We here in the US that are Christians and I mean real Christians are on your side brother. This is a response I wrote to an article about America in end times prophecy.
The author of the article I was responding to said the US wasn’t mentioned in end times prophecy and I was rebutting that. I believe we are seeing the beginning of the fall of America (AK Babylon the great). I find it Ironic there is even a township in NY on Long Island with a major Jewish population Named Babylon! I kid you not Google it! On the water tower overlooking the port the ships pass this water tower with Babylon in Big bold letters as they enter the port!

In the description of Babylon it and her fall it speaks of the economic power she has held as the leading consumer of goods and luxuries which made all the merchants of the world rich.
They morn because of Her destruction because of the loss of their lively hood.
This is clearly describing a nation or group of nations which are the embodiment of this false religious system.
Even more important is that She is living luxuriously on the back of the beast!
If the final beast is the revived roman empire or the EU!
Then the only nation who could fulfill all the criteria as the Harlot Babylon is the US.
Seeing we consume 25% of the worlds goods because we are living off the credit given to us by the rest of the world. Living luxuriously on their backs, it fits perfectly.
It also makes since as the world goes further into financial ruin and chaos they will Hate the US even more.

I believe the majority of the church in this country who are still alive will be swept into His system.

It is also during the time of the mark of the beast and the declaration of the Gospel to the whole world.
This seems to be the culmination of the great falling away of the church that Jesus and Paul warned about.
The time when brother betrays brother to death, and father their son’s and son’s their fathers etc.
When the whole world will be forced to chose who they will serve (voluntarily obey) God or the beast!
This is where She becomes filled with every Hateful bird and devil as she becomes an accomplice to the murder of the saints that will not bow to Antichrist and take His mark. Just as Jesus said that the blood of all the prophets and saints of the old testament would be required of the generation that crucified Him. By demonstrating they are just like all those who persecuted the prophets and saints before they will become as guilty as all those who loved not the truth. While the US doesn’t fulfill the description of being guilty of all the blood of the saints yet (just 60,000,000 babies) it is clear it is only a matter of a few national catastrophes away.
While it is true that the one world government and religion are also a type of Babylon
So is the Beast’s system and the false prophet which will be competing for dominance with the Harlot and eventually will destroy Her in preparation for their attack against Israel.

We are worse than a woman with no husband who has prostituted her self to survive.
We were engaged to God and have fornicated with all the God’s of the world (false religions, evolution, atheism) for MONEY, PLEASURE, PRESTIGUE AND LUXURY!
GOD’S BLESSING WASN’T GOOD ENOUGH FOR US!!!!!!!!!

If there was ever a time for the prophetic events described in Psalm 83 to come true it is in the days we are living now! The Obama administration is leading this nation towards a confrontation with the wrath of the Sovereign God.

I fear not so much for Israel as I do for America in this action. I happen to believe the Bible when it says that those that bless Israel will be blessed and those that curse Israel will be Cursed. Also God is going to protect Israel. It seems that the truth is finally coming out when it was talked about in the beginning of the presidential campaign, that Obama was Muslim, it sure is looking like it.
It is quite obvious that America (read O’Bama) has left Jehovah out of their

But for the words of Scripture, I would hold out no hope for this tiny nation that has my heart. I battle despair while waiting patiently for the Lord to perform His promises~but I battle from a place of victory, knowing that God has a plan and that plan can not be stopped by a million obamas. In the end, it will be those who trust in the Word of God who will stand and see His salvation. Ezekiel 28:25, 26!

A very timely and great article. We are on a collision course with God. Our Lord does not sleep or slumber when it comes to his people. Lord have mercy on the United States and the rest of the world. I am so saddened by my country’s rational regarding the precious State of Israel. Please forgive us LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. Please help us in this fight against biased minds and debased logic. Lord please rise up in the White House and let Obama hear Your voice. Drive him to his knees to repentance. Please Lord, You are Israel’s only hope. Give your people favor in the eyes of the US. Let the US hear Your Word. Make Jerusalem free, bring her peace and establish Israel as a nation protected by the God of the universe. Give the delagates from Israel wisdom and the boldness to stand up to the US and other countries. Compel the Obama administration to reconsider their plan for Israel. Pressure them to stand between all of the world and Israel. Cause them to use the power the US still has to block Israel’s enimies from ripping her apart. It truly hurts my heart to see our newly elected government here in the United States of America bent on apologizing and reaching out to terrorist groups around the globe promising them financial support and wishing them well. As an American I want to apologize to the Israeli people for our government and the stand it is taking against you. Many of us here in the USA believe you are a great people of a great nation and continue to stand with you. It is reassuring to know that God is your source and protection, not the USA. Our love, prayers and support are with you. Your steps will be diredted by God and the outcome great!
I don’t know what to write. I have the same thoughts as all of these who have commented.I guess Obama doesn’t know what will happen if America does not stand with Israel. He has sold us down the drain.
Obama isn’t God and God gave the land to His people…Israel. Some wonder why the USA isn’t mentioned in the Bible’s prophecy of the “last days.” If we look at what is happening with America’s new government, I believe the answer is pretty clear. I say, “Israel….keep on keeping on.”
What do Obama and the mad little Iranian have in common? They’re both Moslems and all Moslems hate Israel. So yes 2009 is indeed going to be a very interesting time. Me and my family we choose God’s side and pray for Jerusalem, Israel and Jewish people all over the planet during this time.

I would be more dismayed concerning all of this distressing political posturing ,if I didn’t know how it all ends, and I have it on good account that it ends well. Of course it ends very badly for the bad guys. You win Israel!!! You are not alone in this crucible of terror, pressure, and game playing from those you thought were your friends. There are many of us and we pray prayers to the pulling down of great strongholds, so that victory is assured for the people of God. There are many of us who are keeping a very close eye on barak hussein obama. I have followed his unnatural rise since he showed up on the public political radar during the run for the presidency. He’s a deceiver, and unfortunately, there are many in the USA who desire to be deceived. When you have a people who have departed from a relationship with God and no longer give God reverence at home, or in the workplace or anywhere, you have a people who do not know the truth. While there have always been an element of this in America, its larger now than its ever been in my lifetime.To be able to see the truth, you have to know the truth. The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob is the truth. His ways, His Word and Spirit are truth.
In the USA at this time, we have more people on welfare for various reasons than ever before. Some of the welfare doled out is legitimate, but a large portion is not.
Dependency upon another for your living when its not a living you have to work for ( Of course, I am excluding the truly need and the elderly) affects the ability to see the truth. A deceiver can be deceived. This unjust welfare is a bribe and it has paid off in spades. obama is moving faster than any president I have ever seen. This government now is all about robbing the people of choice. obama is moving very quickly to bring about a binding up of the liberty which we have always known. We are a nation slipping into captivity and obama is at the helm orchestrating an oppressive system for corporate America and the private sector. He panders to the most rabid of his base and plays upon the class warfare that the democrats have been actively encouraging for some time. Its the poor downtrodden against the big mean rich.– Who REALLY buys that ? By working to harm our nations businesses he is moving the people into bondage to the gov’t, who then will appear to be a savior. That is the guillotine to liberty. He is quickly taking away our options. He is bringing in a third world economy to the United States. He has a third world leader mentality and he is trying to impose it on us and Israel. He has a muslem influenced background that our press despretly attempted to cover up and even when parts of it leaked out, no one seemed to care. So while he is not a leader I wanted, unfortunately, the majority of America got the leader they deserve.
God raised America up for these last days to be an assistence to Israel. obama is in for a surprise if he departs from what has been our historical position on Israel. Her protection and welfare must be important to the USA in the political arena or obama and the nation will pay a HUGE price. I cannot imagine what God has in mind on that one.
When the leader of the “free world” bows, giving obesience to the king of Saudi Arabia and we, in this country, saw the photo image of his fanny as he bowed to waist level to that arab king, I know I wasn’t alone in thinking that a good swift kick right on his posterior might be a really good thing. What an A–!!!!!!

As usual, it’s a great article. A few days ago, I decided to write a letter to President Obama some words of advice regarding his plan to force the two-state solution down Israel’s throat. I’m sure like every American Christian that loves Jesus and support Israel who voiced their objection, they will be sidetracked by the Obama administration. As Joel Rosenberg said: there will be a train wreck when PM Netanyahu meets Obama in a couple of weeks. Anyway, here’s the letter below and I’m sure I will be labeled as a “right-wing terrorist” by DHS.
Mr President,
As a citizen of the United States of America, you took and oath by solemnly swear that you defend the Constitution and to execute the office of the President of the US by placing your hand on the Bible. The Bible you placed your hand on is the Word of God. This means you are upholding and faithfully stood by your promise to obey God’s Words.
As you recall, “the Quartet” (the United States, Russia, the European Union, and the United Nations) has a primary goal of dividing the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem in order to establish a viable, contiguous, Palestinian state inside the current borders of Israel. Mr. President, God made it clear in the Old Testament that He had given Israel temporary custody of His land, and He would take punitive action against those nations that divide His land (see Genesis 15:18, Joel 3:2). If you believe in the word of God, I would suggest that you heed His command that you would NEVER divide His land.
In the last few weeks, you appeared to be hardening your heart in your quest to pressure Prime Minister Netanyahu to divide Israel and Jerusalem when he visit you in two weeks. Remember what happened to Egypt when the children of Israel was in bondage. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to make the same mistake the Pharaoh did.
If you open your heart to the Lord and give Mr. Netanyahu your blessings, then the Lord will bless you and the United States of America, just like President Truman did when he was the first to approve the State of Israel as a nation in May 14th 1948 against all odds.
I pray that you uphold His promise.

Y’know, I feel this is entirely a spiritual war and Barak Obama is just a puppet, or a front man if you like, for the real enemy. After all the Word of God says “we are not ignorant of his devices”. Please don’t misunderstand me my statement doesn’t mean I’m on Obama’s side - NO - it’s that we don’t wrestle with flesh and blood, do we?
If ever the Israeli Government and in particular Benjamin Netenyahu need our prayers, it’s now!. May the Lord bless him, give him wisdom and give him strength to stand against the evil forces that are stacked against Israel.

But are Americans a people called by His name? And did He promise to hear our penitence from heaven, and forgive our sin and heal our land? The answer is obvious.
There has been only one people “called by His name” (cf. 2 Chronicles 7:12-14), only one city “called by His name” (cf. Jeremiah 25:29), only one house “called by His name” (cf. Jeremiah 34:15), and none have to do with America.
And what is the name by which He is called? The Holy One of Israel (yis?ra?’e?l) (cf. 2 Kings 19:22, Psalms 78:41, Psalms 89:18, Isaiah 1:4, 5:19, 5:24, 10:20, 12:6, 17:7, 29:19, 30:11, 30:12, 30:15, 31:1, 37:23, 41:14, 41:16, 41:20, 43:3, 43:14, 45:11, 47:4, 48:17, 49:7, 54:5, 55:5, 60:9, 60:14, Jeremiah 50:29, Jeremiah 51:5).
The promise of II Chronicles 7:14 has never come true for any people. But one day it will, but not for America:
The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the L-RD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the L-RD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness. I still think America is Mystery Babylon. How could America not be written in last days prophecy? Perhaps she is afterall, yet many do not recognize who she is (she’s a mystery).
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has a plan. He picked a land; He chose a people, He gave His Word (Who became flesh, and dwelt amongst us). Time marches irrevocably towards the fulfillment of this plan. Hallelujah!
No amount of revising of His-Story can change this plan. No amount of theological reinterpreting of Scriptures can change this plan. It is written. So be it.

Hi Stan, Thank you for the work your are doing. May God bless you for your concern for Israel. I doubt if dividing the biblical and historical land of Israel and Jerusalem to create a Palestinian state would bring lasting peace between Israel and the Arabs. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should not succumb to this ploy. America should reconsider her stand on this issue and seek other avenues of making peace between Israel and the Arabs. I believe the Lord would preserve Israel according to His plan and purpose. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel.
Sit and watch the players as they create the entry point we have so often read about in the Bible. The UN, the Catholic church, the nations, will make a way for the Beast to have his day.

Re. Bush, it’s interesting to note Obama is about-turning on so many campaign promises and following the doctrine of Dubya. Maybe the latter was right after all.
Imagine the ancient prophets predicting this! Long before the diaspora even happened, they prophesied that Israel would be brought back to the land of their fathers, the land God gave them as an “EVERLATING” possession.
And now they’re back! The same ONE who brought them back will continue the story until the entire land is back in their hands, even to the Euphrates river! And this is a certain, because the God of Israel has foretold it.
So there’s nothing Obama or any other gentile can do to prevent it, other than get in the way and bring judgment upon America AGAIN, as has happened every time an American president or secretary of state has pressured or threatened Israel to give up her God-given and God-restored land.
