I am neither troubled nor dismayed as I watch, from Jerusalem, the growing line-up of officials selected to fill the powerful posts of the soon-to-be invested Obama administration.
I did not gasp at the news that Hillary Clinton was en route to becoming the new Secretary of State. The thought of her motorcade tying up traffic in Jerusalem as Condoleezza Rice’s has on so many occasions irritates, but does not worry, me. The prospect of her smilingly taking the hand of Israel’s next prime and foreign ministers, and seductively assuring them of her love and support for their nation, does not warm me, or fool me. The knowledge that she will then helicopter over to Ramallah and smilingly take the hands of men who have murdered countless Israelis and Jews, and wants to murder them all; and that she will there promise that she will make her best effort to deliver the Jews’ lands to those men for the creation of another Arab state, will turn my stomach, but will not imbue me with fear.
A December 2 assessment published in FrontPageMagazine.com describing nominee for Attorney General Eric Holder as a man with “a history of aiding terrorists, foreign and domestic” did not spoil my breakfast.
Last month’s London Sunday Times report headlined “Barack Obama links Israel peace plan to 1967 borders deal” (November 16, 2008), in which the president-elect was quoted as saying Israel would be “crazy” not to go along with that the so-called Saudi peace initiative elevated my blood pressure but did not deprive me of sleep - and would not have even if Obama’s spin team had not immediately blasted the story as inaccurate and untrue.
I am neither intimidated nor overwhelmed by yesterday’s news about the high-powered, professionally presented report, grandly described as “A joint project of the Saban Center at Brookings and the Council on Foreign Relations” and presumptuously titled, “Restoring the Balance: A Middle East strategy for the next president.” (See the impressively-laid-out project here and here.)
The long list of those behind this plan includes the names of - for Israel - menacing men like Martin Indyck, Brent Scowcroft, Strobe Talbott, and Samuel (Sandy) Berger.
These men may be extremely powerful. Their intellects - combined or even singly - may appear daunting to us “mere mortals.” They may (and probably do) have millions of dollars to pour into research and their website development. And indeed, they may be unmatched in their ability to wield the diplomatic skills that can craft policies which they seem certain (not without reason) their like-minded government leaders will embrace and make their own.
But against our God, even the most powerful people are powerless.
Roman Governor Pontius Pilate was surely a frighteningly formidable man. From Jerusalem to the Galilee, roads were lined with the crosses of those he had condemned to die. And yet, when Jesus stood before him, shackled and beaten bloody, and Pilate asked whether He knew that he (Pilate) had the power to crucify or to release Him, Jesus answered. “You could have no power at all against Me, except it were given you from above.”
It is true, and clearly no trifling matter, that an Obama administration with a well-weighted Democratic Senate and Congress to back it up could, and would, further compromise Israel’s security and endanger Israel’s existence by applying unbearable pressure on Jerusalem to finalize a land-for-promises-of-peace deal with the Palestinian Arabs and with Syria.
This matter should be viewed in the gravest of lights. It is of deadly consequence.
But so too was the 1991 convening in Madrid of an International Middle East Peace Conference which Israel was coerced into attending. Chaired by the (seemingly) victorious and globally-unchallengeable administration of President G.H.W. Bush and Secretary of State James Baker, it commanded the world stage and basked in the praises and well-wishes of the international community.
Grave, too was the 1993 signing - on the White House lawn and under the smiling but determined eyes of President Bill Clinton - of the Oslo Accords. The world’s television cameras caught all of the applause, tears, hugs and handshakes, and broadcast for all mankind to hear the pledge by the popular young leader of the United States to do all that he could to help secure peace for the Jews of Israel at the expense of their land.
Daunting was the new plan announced by President George W. Bush at the United Nations in 2002, drawn up by a “quartet” of international entities: the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations, and labeled “The Road Map.” With that combined, massive array of nations bringing their will to bear on little Israel, surely nothing could prevent the creation of Palestine in the heart of the land of the Jews?
Impetus ignited once again last year ago when, at Annapolis, and in front of, inter alia, the leaders of the Arab and Islamic world, Bush promised to police and personally oversee the implementation of the “peace” process during his final year in office. And he surely tried, sending Secretary Rice to Israel again and again and again, and himself visiting twice, even exploiting the occasion of Israel’s 60th Anniversary celebrations to manipulate the Olmert government into helping him keep his word. Something bedeviled him. Or perhaps, be-God-ed him.
When I say “thank God, all these initiatives failed” it is of course not for a moment because I do not long and pray for peace to come to this war-weary nation, and to all the truly peace-seeking people of the Middle East.
I thank God because I know that, had these plans gained ground and been realized, they would have positioned Israel at the very edge of destruction, leaving the severed strip of land that is all that would then be left of the Jewish state exposed defenseless before the mounting might of the increasingly-jihadist Arab world.
And I thank God because I see that it is He who has been withstanding all these efforts; He does hear the prayers of those who hold Israel up before Him; He is Lord over Israel and over the world, and He will do what He has promised for the Jewish people and for the rest of mankind, and soon bring true peace to the planet.
It is a peace for which Israel won’t have to pay with any land at all.
Yes, the looming diplomatic threat from the West is very real, even as the burgeoning military threat from the East is very real. The coming season promises to not be particularly pleasant for those of us, Jews and Christians, who know that both land-for-peace and Ahmadinejad’s bomb spell clear and present dangers to the security of Israel’s people and the existence of Israel’s state.
When facing daunting times or issues, we Christians are often quick to verbally express our faith in God and our belief in His ability to overcome all things. We’re sometimes quicker, however, to register feelings of dismay; even of fear. And frequently - as I must personally confess - we cast around for solutions and ways out of the impending crisis, sometimes speculating wildly about how the Almighty might intervene to foil the plans of the enemy. Foil those plans He will, we assure one another, even as we go from nervously nail-biting one finger to nervously nail-biting the next.
It’s a widespread flaw among believers, the propensity to proclaim that “God is on the Throne” and that “I’ve read the back of the book, and we win,” and to therefore speedily put out of mind the unpleasant thought of what it might take for that victory to be secured and won, and the downright uncomfortable thought of what it might cost ME.
Actually, the question has never been whether God is mightier than the devil, or whether He is able to completely ruin and up-end Satan’s schemes. About this we can rest assured. What we need to answer for ourselves is how available and ready we are to be deployed by Him in the field of battle so that we may play our part in what He plans to, and will, accomplish.
This is an intensely personal question, but one I believe we each have to answer. If our political leaders support the notion that Israel must appease the Arabs by giving them its land for their peace pledges, we cannot put our heads in the sand.
Well we can, but it won’t help. For we will personally be as affected by that decision as we will by any government decision to raise taxes or close schools or cut jobs or make abortion freely available on demand.
The holidays ahead tantalize us with the prospect of respite from what has been a grueling election year and an economically painful one. But now is not the time to unwind. Our enemy will not be taking days off. We need to prayerfully gird our loins for war, monitoring the plans and strategies of the foe; preparing ourselves to engage.
“Here I am Lord. What would you have me to do?”
Meanwhile, I have a piece of advice for those who are gearing up to represent the most powerful leadership team on the planet.
Mr Obama, Mrs Clinton, Mr Gates, Ms Rice, Ambassador Kurtzer: When at night - or whenever you will be grabbing some sleep - you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, and the thought crosses your mind about how much power will soon be yours to wield, how important you will be in the eyes of the world, and as you contemplate your ambitious plans for “bringing peace to the Middle East,” consider this:
One day you will be standing (or lying prostrated, as we all will be) before your Maker. Then you will be in the presence of real power; of the Power that granted you what comparatively insignificant authority you had while in office. He is King of the Universe; Lord of all the earth. He calls Himself the God of Israel. Israel’s Land and People, He calls His own. He has forbidden other nations to divide up this Land or to do anything that will lead to the scattering of this People. His Word is clear. Unequivocal. If you put out your hand to touch the “apple of His eye,” you will be held accountable for it, and your nation will pay.
Today, without malice, and without any desire in my heart to see you “get yours,” I state: You have been warned. And if, in the coming months, I should bump into you on Jerusalem’s streets, I would tell you the same thing.
You need to stop pushing this nation around. And you need to keep your hands off this land!
It is His.
AMEN, Stan! We do not trust in horses or chariots, but in the Lord G-d.
Good stuff! Passing it on to others…thanks for sharing what is in the hearts of many of us.
Could not have been more well spoken, and I could not agree more. I surely pray they will heed these wise words.
I agree!!!
Hallelujah!
And I would like to say you are not alone in sleeping soundly in the face of such normally overwhelming odds.
And some of us may be getting older but still wait to see where God can use us for His will.
You would think after all these centuries that the average human would recognize that whatever plans they make, they are insignificant in the scope of God’s plans for Israel.
Beautifully written and uplifting article, and I thank you!!!!
God bless you, and God bless Israel!
Well said, and from the words of Amos 9:15 we read - “I will plant Israel in there own land, never again to be uprooted.” As often as I can, I want to bless Israel and the G_d of heaven from whom all blessings flow to us all, like the rain that falls on the just and unjust. I feel sorry for those who want to hurt these people. Charles
Standing ovation on this one, Stan! I can see His nod of approval.
Is it not strange that people watched the birth of the nation Israel 60 years ago and marvelled at a nation born in a day. Yet today apart from Evangelical Christians, these same people who witnessed the miracle birth of Israel, should have more sense and fear of God, but instead have made a 180 degree turn and started to assist in Satan’s final thrust into Jerusalem and the demise of God’s people. I marvel at their spiritual blindness and inability to interpret or understand prophecies that have been accomplished and those prophecies that are taking place today, These prophecies are unfolding step by step. Prophecies are like a river that continues to flow in a set direction. The Lord have mercy on us all.
GOD WILL HAVE HIS DAY ON HIS ENEMIES.
DITTO!!!!
The night of the election in Nov., I was struggling with the (then almost) certainty that the Ds would make a sweep of the whole power structure; Executive, judicial (USSSC appointments) & legislative.
As I prayed about this situation, I felt a calming peace and assurence, that could have only come from God, to quit fretting over this problem; that it’s all in His hands, and He will take care of it.
Now I have no idea whether that means that Obama will become a Christian and govern accordingly, whether God is going to limit the damage the Ds can do, or if the rapture is just around the corner and this will be a moot point for Christians; or something totally off my radar at this time. ( I do pity this nation should we ever just totally abandon the Jews as have some before us — won’t be very pretty for the once proud & generous US of A!)
At any rate, it’s in His hands and I’m fine with that!!
Thanks to you & staff for the steady feed from that area of the world.
“Woe is me, for I am undone!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King,
The Lord of hosts.†Is. 6:5
Please accept an apology from America aka Babylon
Beautifully spoken!! All I can say is AMEN and AMEN!!
How about going beyond no fear, sleeping soundly at night, etc. I challenge each and every believer to say as the Psalmist says:
“But let all those that put their trust in thee REJOICE: let them ever shout for JOY, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be JOYFUL IN THEE. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Psalms 5:11&12.
The Apostle Peter, in revealing the coming Day of the LORD, says, “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherin dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him IN PEACE, WITHOUT SPOT, and BLAMELESS.” II Peter 3:11-14.
Kingdom thinking and expectations. Faith in the New Kingdom of peace as promised by God.
YES ! ! ! ! !
and we will SEE it ! !
“put your hope in Adonai, keep to His ways, and He will raise you up to inherit the Land. When the wicked are cut off, YOU WILL SEE IT. I have seen a wicked man wielding great power, fluorishing like a shade tree in its native soil. But I passed by again, & he was no longer there; I looked for him, but he cuold not be found.”
(Pslam 37: 34-36)

I acknowledge the criticism of and attitude toward recent US folks who have come and will come to assist Israel. I share the desire for a secure, strong, safe Israel. However, it appears your point to readers and to the new leadership in Washington, DC is indeed - communicating FEAR and a threat from G-d. Although somewhat literary, I would prefer a more direct approach to telling the US folks what you DO advice they DO (instead of what not do) to keep Israel secure and safe. Giving direction how to get from point A to point B by using all negatives, “don’t turn left at the stop light, when you get to the next intersection, don’t go straight or you will be struck by lightening” provides little direction at all. So, perhaps the point is to speak to your choir - but besides that and invoking fear, I would prefer more affirmative direction. I look forward to something more.
As usual Stan you have done an excellant ptice.
I fear not for Israel for through out the writing as given to us by THE L RD G D He says I WILL RETURN MY PEOPLE TO MY LAND, I WILL DRAW THEM FROM THE FOUR CORNERS. I would not want to be one of the politicians that force upon Israel the division of HIS land.
May THE L RD G D BLESS AND PROTECT ISRAEL AND HIS PEOPLE!!
My grandson is studying International Relations in his master’s program at BU. He has to do a major paper on the Arab-Israeli conflict. He asked what I thought.
I told him that if you take God out of the picture, as most college professors do, this whole story would be ludicrous. If you take God out of the picture, you’re looking at a very tiny Jewish nation in the midst of, and totally surrounded by, Muslim countries that hate her. If this had nothing to do with God, I would suggest that the UN find another place for the Jewish people to settle, a place with more land, and a place without hostile neighbors.
But you can’t take God out of the Israel story, because it’s ALL ABOUT HIM!
It’s all about his faithfulness. It’s all about his not forgetting promises and covenants even though they were made millenia ago.
It’s all about dividing people into those who believe, despite the total contrariness of what we “see,” versus those who do not believe.
To those who believe, no explanation is necessary. To those who don’t, no explanation is possible.
From a Brother in Christ:
I am only troubled that my country is surely about to take the wrong road that will lead to ultimate destruction. This article which you have written is a powerful one, and is the plain truth. As you have already written, Obama and all his henchmen,(and women) will stand before the only real power, which is Almighty God himself. As the nations of the world align themselves against the little nation of Israel, I can say that I am troubled for America, and for Israel, but I also have that great peace within that only comes from God. He will soon bring his might to bear, and take his children home. I pray everyday that my country will repent of it’s sins, and the Jew will accept the true Messiah, who has already come and died for all mankind.
W e are so blessed to be living in this time span because we can clearly see the plan of God will soon be accomplished , and the Lord will soon be ruling and reigning from the His Holy Hill in Jerusalem with a righteousess and holy nations and Israel, will be called a name of praise and glory and honor and joy among all the nations!!. A new name will be written above the land “The Lord Our Righteousness”
For the elects sake Lord, do a quick work!!!! Amen
Amen! Maranatha!
God will bless his people, christians and jews, even in judgement. Though the world is primed for judgement we can pray, listen and obey. God has a plan for is people, a place of refuge and great blessings for the purpose of fulfilling his plan. Praise God in the sanctuary! The Blood of Jesus covers us! Amen and Amen.
Dear Stan,
Thank you again for a great article I am also not afraid for myself but for the United States itself. We are on the eve of destruction for our nation. You can not continue to strong arm Israel to give up its land. We murder 3,300 babies a day and we call it abortion. We have turned on backs on God. There is still hope. We who are called by his name will humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways he will heal our land.
God Bless
Leonard
Very well stated and I pray that at least one of the new administration members are listening. May we pray for all of our leaders and may we always pray for Israel!
If you read your readers comments I was wondering if you have any new information on the building of the Jewish Temple and news on the latest war rumblings involving Israel’s personal security. If you have the time to address these issues in upcoming articles I would love to read them!
God bless and Shalom
Stan, my thoughts exactly! I cannot believe the stupidity of our State Department in this great nation. I cannot understand why our leaders deliberately ignore God’s mandate regarding Israel and Jerusalem. Our nation has just elected a man who talks with a gilded tongue and seems to mesmerize the masses. I am praying daily and fervently for his Spiritual eyes to be opened and for his heart to be radically changed for the Kingdom of God.
Unbelievers seem to think this is foolishness but our fore fathers were of the same conviction. What the United States and all of the other nations can do, as Candrese asked is, leave the Sovereign Nation of Israel Along and let her govern herself just as that nation does. Not to always tell someone else how to be a nation or what they should do but respect their right to keep their Land theirs.
How would the USA respond if the American Indians, who were the natives of this land, demanded and started armed resistence, the land be restored to them? What would we do is Osama Bin Laden landed on these shores and did the same thing. He never had the right of ownership in the first place and neither do the Palestinians. All of that claim is a pure and simple lie.
But I am going to copy your statement Stan and mail it to Hillary if you don’t mind. I think she is smart enough to understand what you are saying and she needs to quit drinking the Koolaide also.
WJM
Great stuff, just visited your website and bookmarked it! Disregard my request of info on personal security issues for Israel but any new info on the Temple being rebuilt is greatly welcomed! Hope you read the comments because I took the time to just read one article Genesis Five - The First Millenium and loved the responses as much or more than your article.
I was reading your occasional article as it was linked through Olive Tree Ministries but now I will visit your sight most regularly!!!!
Peace
By all appearances, this is very likely the generation Jesus Christ spoke of in Matthew 23 to 24, to the Jewish disciples after they asked Him about what the future brings. What He told them came in two parts, the near term prophecy of the destruction of the Temple by Titus, and of the far term prophecies concerning Israel, arguably in the things we see today.
There had been debates and discussions, continuing to this day about America’s circumstances when these things come about, some saying and still believing that the United States of America would remain Israel’s friend and be an obstacle of defense for the tiny nation. This last American election removed any remaining questions on how America will be postured as the world makes its last moves toward the vain attempts at evicting the Jewish people from their promised land. The LORD has spoken and the judgment is plain: that He returned His people and they are going to remain, forever.
Does this mean that the land of Israel is to be spared the violence of His judgment? Let us look at one passage that provides part of the answer, Malachi:
3:1) Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, He will come, says the LORD of hosts. 2) But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when he appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fuller’s soap. 3) And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the LORD an offering in righteousness. 4) Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant to the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years. 5) And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, says the LORD of hosts.
3:6) For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed.
As mentioned by another in this post, we find that those, whose faith and security are already found in the Person of Jesus Christ, have responsibility to be workers of our faith. We are admonished in the prayer that is Psalm 27, of which we read finally in verse 14, to wait on the LORD. In His admonishment to the disciples, Jesus requires that believers ‘occupy until He comes.’ What shall we be doing along with our prayers and efforts to be obedient to Him, but that we should be witnesses to those not yet convinced and convicted in the Holy Spirit as Christians to seek Him while there is still time (though precious little is left).
The witness is now coming to a point where it is a warning, and we as true Christians have a charge, like as we read in Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 33:2) Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their borders, and set him for their watchman: 3) If when he sees the sword come upon the land, he shall blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4) Then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet, and takes not warning; if the sword shall come and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5) He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that takes warning shall deliver his soul.
33:6) But if the watchman shall see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword shall come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. 7) So you, O son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore thou shall hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
We have read the prophecies and we can see that the LORD has completed all the fulfillments necessary that can be humanly seen; and only those things not humanly discernable are all that is left before the LORD begins the next chapter in history. It is He that will bring about Israel’s destiny and the judgment of the world that tried in vain to stop Him.
Indeed, those who have claimed and accept Jesus Christ as LORD are to be found in Him at the time of His judgments when they come; and those disciples will be able to say, “blessed is He that comes in the Name of the LORD.†If there be any who read this and cannot utter those words in His truth, mercy and love, now is the time to pray for Jesus Christ to forgive one’s sins and have Him come into their hearts. For such, it is written, seek the LORD while He may yet be found.
Stan,
Good article as always, with the best part, to be specifically relevant in the near future; “What we need to answer for ourselves is how available and ready we are to be deployed by Him in the field of battle so that we may play our part in what He plans to, and will, accomplish. This is an intensely personal question, but one I believe we each have to answer. “Here I am Lord. What would you have me to do?”"
It true, the English speaking nations (read USA, British descendant peoples) will experience the worse of the coming Great Tribulation… we can but only repent and obey the true God of Scripture.
Lastly, it is not Islam that Israel as a nation should REALLY be worried about, but rather Assyria, the modern day Germany. It is to them, now that the USA can not and will not help its brother, that Israel as a nation are turning for help. It is they who will ultimately betray Israel, surround the holy city in a so-called peace-mission, and put up an abomination.. It is this Beast, a seventh and final holy Roman Empire, that will be its biggest threat, that true believers should be prepared for. It will rule the world for a very short but dangerous time.
God have mercy on us! Draw near to him, so that He will draw near to you! It is our only change of escaping the time that is coming upon this evil, sin-sick world.
We are, in fact, living in the very last days!
Come, Lord Jesus, come! “Be still and know that I am G-d.” Ps. 46:10
Love the Lord your G-d and love one another. We adore You our heavenly Savior; we carry one another’s burdens.
Thank you dear brother Stan. Keep on speaking the truth in love.
Dear Stan again THANK YOU for standing up and telling the TRUTH! I wish all the people associated with and Obama himself could/would read this and take it to heart! Thank you for reminding me where my focus needs to be, on Him and what He will be doing. Please pray for us here in the US too, I think we are in for some very tough times maybe even terrorist attacks like Israel has had to endure all these years!! My heart and my prayers are always with Israel and her people, I pray that they will turn their hearts to G-d and believe in the Messiah THEIR Messiah! Thank you again for your courage I pray that people will LISTEN!
Stan, written with such emotion/such passion….and all according to the Word of God.
AMEN! America is on the brink of destruction…I spell that…judgment. She has been on a spiritual decline for years and I think God has had enough.
Not to mention that I think we are all standing on the brink of eternity. Clearly Obama is in office…provided he can prove his country of birth…because God wants him there.
Wish there was more we could do besides the praying and giving…Indeed “Here I am Lord. What would you have me to do?â€
AMEN Brother!
Normally not wanting to be repetitious, this reader’s observation came from the interview President George W. Bush had last night (December 9, 2008). And if there were any lingering questions about the faithfulness the President might have had about the Biblical relationship America should have had with Israel, his thoughts on the subject should pretty much be cleared up.
[Interviewer Cynthia McFadden asked Bush if the Bible was literally true. “You know. Probably not…No I’m not a literalist, but I think you can learn a lot from it, but I do think that the New Testament for example is, ….has got…You know, the important lesson is ‘God sent a Son,’†Bush said.]
Biblical Christians, the decidedly conservative ones who thought President Bush was just like one of them, are now given the word that all things were not as everyone thought. Whatever thinking there was that the Holy Spirit was providing guidance for this country in these critical times has now got to be reviewed in the light of the situation that, indeed, Almighty God is in control, this in spite of the direction the Bush administration was trying to take this nation.
Now the downing of the towers makes more sense, as well as the punishment America is receiving for her transgressions: the early trespasses of removing public expressions of the Bible and prayer; Roe v. Wade; later the travesty of Carter brokering a ‘peace’ between Sadat, Begin and Arafat; Clinton, Rabin and Arafat; President Bush’s Road Map to Peace - bartering away Israel’s Almighty God given reasons for her existence.
We are brought low, bought with false hopes of shameless pride and hearing American leadership speaking the blasphemous treason against the Holy One of Israel as the world is finishing being prepared for the judgment next to come.
Did we think that we, the ‘Christian America,’ after being shamefully exposed for arrogance and ignorance against the promises of a Holy and Almighty God, were going to be part of a defense to protect Israel from a world intent on ‘taking Israel out?’ Think again. The American administration is now shown to be as misled and misdirected as can be, and only the Holy One of Israel is going to be Israel’s defender.
President elect Obama has begun making the choices that, if given the chance before the powder blows, will be bringing America in line with the rest of the world in trying to make peace at Israel’s expense. We know now from the Holy Bible that all the preparations seen by the human eye are completed; only those things, reserved to Him Who knows everything, need finalization. Then it is on! Don’t blink, or it might be missed.
I cannot help but to re-read this article– Such wise words of advise for such an ignorant age… In all of this worlds supposed enlightenment, I am amazed by the world’s total ignorance concerning God’s word and Israel, especially as I watch history day by day unfolding before us with scandalous treasons, terrorism, faithless lies and ungodliness. I ask myself why the nations and their leaders cannot see the truth! Is there no one who understands that we cannot divide Israel!? Is there no one who cares for Israel? Even most Christians cannot see, or better stated, refuse to see. Sadly, they love themselves, and their wonderfully blessed life too much to look beyond their own desires and needs. They choose to remain ignorant and feel if they dont know then they wont have to take any action or be responsible. How sad! And how ignorant! How despicably ludicrous and insane! As God’s people we are responsible to speak His words and do His will! Can they not see that they are indeed the branches of this same tree, and surely have much fruit to be delighted in, but they have totally forgotten that their tree’s roots lie deep in ISRAELl! And if the root of the tree dies….ahhhh then where will they be!!? Why can they not see this!?! Why will they not see this!?! ~~BUT GOD!!! Yet HE is ever faithful and it is good to trust in our GOD and to know that He alone can and will save Israel. And what better hands to be in than His?! Fear not Israel for Your God is with you!!! Emmanuel! I pray many more people will see and realize the truth and resolve to stand by your side, dear Israel - no matter what…Forever. Even so come quickly Adonai Y’shua!
Awesome reminder to us–and to the names mentioned–of Who the Ultimate Authority is!
s a minister for Jeshua haMashia I echo your sentiments, but how do we get the world to read, understand and agree that politicians come from men, while God seeks servants that seek the lord. I try and I preach that, but many do not want to hear or respond. I shall keep on trying so long as God offers me breath and life. Shalom and God bless you.
Hi Stan, right to the point.
Like some comentators here I marvel as well as how blind and unresponsive the government and the people are regarding all the warnings.
It is to some point amazing to see how a specific group of people is getting all from the west and the west is only concerned about Political Correctness.
However, the church of God is called to preach the Gospel and save as many as they can. And it is mindnumbing to see that the church is not responding.
I have plans to move back to the US (from Germany) but I guess it does not really matter anymore where to go. The western nations have to the Lord to get out, gave all the power to the wicked and will harvest a hell of fruitbag.
You are right Stan, we need to prepare for what is coming and ask the Lord to give us strength for what is coming.
And sitting there and calmly watching what is coming and resting in Jesus is about the only wise thing to do.
Be blessed in Jesus.
My mind draws a blank when it come to remembering where it say that G_d told
abraham those that curse you G_d will curse them and those that bless your he
would bless . This includes our leaders what ever their names. There names
make not a difference there actions is what counts. There name can be clinton,
obama, hillary, nixon ; if there action are negative with hatred toward Israel and
aid your enemies then the curses of your G_d will deliver you.
In Leviticus twenty five: verse 6&7&8 is part of Israel blessings
v 14 & 15 is a warning
v:16 I will do this unto you
v 18 I will punish you seven time more
v 21 I will bring seven more plagues
v 22 make you few in number
v 24 punish you yet seven times for your sins
v40 Is a change of mind
If they shall confess their iniquity and the iniquity
of their fathers, with their trespasses which they trespassed against me,
and that also they have walked contrary unto me…….
United States leaders have been negative against Israel defense and look what is happening to our economy . My prayer is that our leaders have a change of mind but I can see no hope in this wishful thought . My next Prayer is that G_d will bring his curses or punishment to our desperate deserving leaders who crave his chastising hand. But as Daniel suffered because of his people mistakes so it will be in this case with the rest of the believers in G_d.
United State investment institutions are falling apart down 40 to 50 % more or
less some like the investments scams are for all practical purposes zero. weather is wrecking many , ike fore example, fires are destroying 1000 of home. Jobs are being lost by the thousands.
My wishes is that the US would help Israel in its defense .
Numbers 33:52 Then ye shall drive our all the inhabitants of the land from
before you,,,,,,,,,,,
Numbers 33:55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land form before
you: then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides ye shall vex you in in the land where
in ye dwell
Numbers 33:56 More over it shal come to pass that I shall do unto you ,as I
thought to do unto them .
In my way of thinking Israel and the US are both getting into a very bad situation.
The only hope that can be seen is G_d is going to help us by parting the Red
Sea again and the Jordan as he did for Joshua at Jericho . This spiritual war
which we are in belongs to G_d . the only thing we can do is trust
Arthur
Shalom Stan ,
Selah and Amen! Oh how I grieve that so many Christians and Jews in the US have been deceived by all the Presidents you listed and Mr. Obama. I sadly say that members of my own family who I have been working on for years concerning Israel are deceived and in fact voted for Obama. Even after my warning that he was an abortionist and pro homosexual they voted for him! Alas the word says ,if it were possible even the very elect will be deceived. Where this scripture puts my loved one’s souls… I dare not offer an opinion. So I continue to pray and spread the truth of Israel every chance I get, and like you am comforted to a point that God is in control. But also like you I know that we can not sit on our hands . We must work for God. Even though He doesn’t need our help He wants it. Bless you and your family in these perilous days, you all are in my prayers..
Shalom ,Jeremy
Shalom everyone!!
Maranatha! Hallelujah! Our stay here on earth is coming to an end; we’ll soon see Y’shua Ha Mosiach and He will install His Kingdom and we shall be caught up with Him in the clouds. Praise G-d Almighty!!
My prayers for peace to all men, women, beast and earth are continuous.
Shalom Stan And All -
Stan, You had said we all need to take this position: “Here I am Lord. What would you have me to do?â€
I agree 100% and then some. In this world there are many things that can take our eyes away from the Israel of G-d even if we have developed ‘eyes’ that really do see.
In a nutshell, if any of us miss the L-rd’s boat so to speak, no man made thrown life saver is really going to keep us afloat.
I also greatly appreciated it when you said more or less that the enemy doesn’t take a day off and, therefore, neither should we.
So, what shall we all do? Well, its really just like Stan said - we need to go before the L-rd and ask just what it is He would have us be doing. And when He answers we need be willing to move forward regardless.
Hey Stan
I will not even try to give my opinion because i would not say anything differnt praise God that He Has Put You there for this day. No matter what we all must keep on keeping on for Israels sake america has made her choice. We will all pay for that choice till Our Father take’s us out…….
Praying For The Peace Of Jerusalem & the SOON arival of Our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ

I like you comments on present political events. Refreshingly bold.
I wish to say to you, though; I agree with the point made by Charese on Dec 5th.; about you giving more direction to these politicians. They themselves may not read your column/blog, but it would provide ammunition to the rest of us.
Happy Chanuka. You blessed one, to be able to be in Jerusalem!
