The fall of America. The fall of the West

Posted on Tuesday 11 November 2008

By Jan Willem van der Hoeven

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the false prophets.  (Luke 6:26)

Despite the overwhelming and unbelievable euphoria accompanying the election of America’s new president, the sad truth is that the very opposite of what the enthralled millions of Obama supporters - both in the United States and elsewhere - have hoped would happen as a result will actually become the reality.

This truth is too bitter for most of us. Even among many of those Christians who may have voted for the - to them - more friendly team of McCain and Palin, after all their hopes to the contrary, still do not really understand the utter seriousness of what has just taken place.

America has fallen, never to rise again to its former glory and strength. It is as what happened to the glory and splendor of Rome. I have wept about this, and reading now some of the Christian commentators trying to put the typical ‘let’s not lose hope’ seal upon what has happened, I believe this will only speed up this degradation of America’s society.

As a European, I years ago saw this same process happen to most of the Continent - today a pagan, self-centered, de-Christianized and heavily Muslimized continent that has hardly any moral or military strength left. As was the case when Hitler’s Nazi hordes overran Europe in 1939, so now it lies nearly totally defenseless against the aggressive designs of both Putin’s revived “Soviet” Russia or the deep and dangerous Jihadic infiltration of ISLAM.

Obama, as President of the United States, will not this time send his “Eisenhower-”led U.S. marines to save Georgia, Ukraine or any other Putin-threatened European country, EVEN THOUGH most of these Europeans, utterly blind to what is coming their way, voted in their hearts for Obama to be the next president - “their president” - of the free world.

Israel, in spite of some prominent Jewish and even Israel-linked Obama advisors, will practically, (for all practical purposes) find itself alone in its fight for mere survival as a nation against the horrendous threats of a soon-to-be nuclear-armed Iran and the increasingly armed and fanatized Muslim world that surrounds Israel on all sides.

All that the new, fully Democrat-controlled U.S. administration with its inbuilt anti-war bias will do to alleviate Israel’s fears is talk and talk and talk, just as the Europeans have fruitlessly done these last years. Israel will literally be left alone and stark naked vis-à-vis their ever more ferociously armed enemies. If the Israelis want to do anything they will be on their own. Even requesting the approval of the new Obama-led administration will be a mistake. He will opt for more talk, more sanctions, until the time will have passed for Israel to act preventively.

It is all very sad indeed. Very sad because there will not be a reverse in all this.

For truly-concerned believers to think things will be able to change again by, for instance,  Sarah Palin running for president after four or eight years is fantasy. By then America will have, after four or eight years of Democratic rule, newly-placed and far more liberal judges on the Supreme Court; the country will have been so secularized and paganized that never again will there be enough of a conservative Christian bloc left among America’s voters to even want a ‘Christian president’ back in the White House.

Thus America has fallen, never again to rise to its former height; and with her fall the whole free world will suffer. And only few understand and are weeping about this because most DON’T WANT TO SEE, or quickly search for a stereotyped word: Let’s not lose hope. Hereby they precisely cause Christians not to hear the holy and fearful voice of God’s Alarm, that it is all over now for the moment.

Jesus Himself spoke such words over His nation and city. No stone would be left upon the other. The prophets of old spoke the very same words about their own nation, words which few preachers today in the U.S. or the West would dare to preach!

Thus says the Lord God: ‘A disaster, a singular disaster; behold, it has come! An end has come, the end has come; it has dawned for you; behold, it has come! Doom has come to you, you who dwell in the land; the time has come, a day of trouble is near, and not of rejoicing in the mountains.’  (Ezekiel 7:5-7)

O my soul, my soul! I am pained in my very heart! My heart makes a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. Destruction upon destruction is cried, for the whole land is plundered. Suddenly my tents are plundered, and my curtains in a moment. How long will I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet? (Jeremiah 4:19-21)

It is because we have grown up in an often sugar-coated Christianity of ‘God is love’ that we nearly feel obliged to be positive in the end.

Yes, positive we can be in spite of all that will soon happen to us and our nations on earth because we all have, if we endure through it all, a heavenly future. As Jesus said: When all these (terrifying) things begin to happen lift up your eyes to heaven from where I soon will be coming on the clouds with great glory and majesty. But, here on earth, He also said: ‘You will be hated, hated by all nations for my Name sake!’

That’s the time we are entering now. Where not that long ago, 60 percent of America’s youth was still God-fearing, today that number stands at less than 10 percent! There are, in the upcoming next generations, not enough believers left to bring the change in America that “positive minded” Christians still want to pray for. It is finished, just as it was for Israel in days past and few, very few are willing even to face up to this sad and painful truth.

Already you can feel it in the air: the hatred, anger and intolerance of many who have reveled in the election of their messiah-like Obama, the man who promises them - the young and the old - change that is not based on personal change by repenting from sin and evil, but a deceitful promise of change, while every one can live it up according to his and her own desires without necessitating a change in their own, personal behavior.

Under Obama, nearly everything will go. The killing of the unborn, the perversion of sexuality, the very abominations that brought down the worlds of Sodom and Gomorrah, of Rome and the Greek civilization, will bring down America and, with it, the West.

Is there then no respite at all any more?

God’s Word again and again holds forth that the nation that shall refuse to serve His purpose with Israel shall perish. He states it baldly in Isaiah 60:12:

For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, and those nations shall be utterly ruined.

And says through Jeremiah 30:10-11:

‘Therefore do not fear, O My servant Jacob,’ says the Lord, ‘nor be dismayed, O Israel; for behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. Jacob shall return, have rest and be quiet, and no one shall make him afraid. For I am with you,’ says the Lord, ‘to save you; though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a complete end of you. But I will correct you in justice, and will not let you go altogether unpunished.’

The same word comes through many other passages, like His pronounced judgment on the nations that will have the audacity - as purposed by America and Europe, among others - to parcel out the land God has called His Own, by dividing it in two. This, tragically, has been the immensely-destructive cornerstone of the Middle East policy of President George W. Bush and his Condoleezza Rice. The prophet Joel does not mince words about the serious consequences that such an anti-God and anti-His Land policy will reap from Him.

Would President Bush, at this desperately-late hour, still wake up and reverse this policy which he initiated by fully endorsing God’s eternal covenant with His people, whereby He exclusively promised the entirety of this, His land, “as an everlasting possession?” If that were to happen, by the immense and unrelenting pressure of America’s millions of Christian believers in the two months that remains of his presidency, even I would see a glimmer of hope! But will it happen? And will the dear Christians of America do more than hope and pray for the best without sounding forth the ALARM - that Lord would maybe so still leave some blessing behind Him, as Joel prophesies:

“Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him– a grain offering and a drink offering for the Lord your God?”  (Joel 2:12-14)

PS. The only thing I want to add to what I have written are the amazingly true words written by Kathleen Mitchell on November 5:

The voting and the counting is over.  My heart has been heavy with the results.  This morning as I awakened, unaware of the outcome of the election, I had the image of a scene from the movie INDEPENDENCE DAY emblazoned across my mind.  The scene showed an alien mother ship hovering above New York City.  Masses of cheering Americans gathered under it, shouting, celebrating, and waving welcome signs … announcing a new day of peace and prosperity.  They were thrilled to be visited by these aliens “friends” and extended peace before they knew what these beings were really about.  As the bottom of the mother ship slowly opened its portal, the people cheered louder, thinking that a glorious delegation would come down to embrace them.  Instead, a consuming blast of fire and light descended, vaporizing the celebrants and destroying the city in mass devastation. This morning I knew the results of the election before I heard them.  The scene from the movie deposited in my mind, said it all.  All that I could do was to cry MERCY, LORD!

As the morning unfolded, and the results of the election were confirmed, I pinned a torn piece of black fabric to my shirt, as a traditional sign of mourning.  I sat with the Lord, to be enwrapped by His Spirit. Suddenly I understood, more clearly than ever before, how easily the anti-Christ will come upon the scene and how easily he will deceive the masses (including many believers).  This little test case of the American election showed how undiscerning, how gullible and how carnal we really are as a people. The truth of that fact brought me to tears.  If not for the Lord’s mercy, enabling us to hear and to receive His truth, we all would be hopelessly lost in deception. The pride of the human heart and mind, believing that truth can be found apart from God, will bring us disaster every time.

I was also inspired to write an apology to all of you who are reading this in the nations beyond the USA.  Please forgive the American people for making this foolish choice. The decision of this nation will negatively affect your lives too.  Especially, those of you who live in Israel … please forgive us.  We have been remarkable selfish, foolish, rebellious, and shallow.  We have set Israel up for a terrible betrayal.  Know that you, who are American Israelis, holding dual citizenship, voted 3 to 1 for McCain, God has seen your choice and He will bless you for it.  I thank God for you.  For those of you throughout the nations who prayed and fasted for this election, God bless each one of you!

Now here is the best part, which I have been saving for last.  As I sat before the Lord this morning, He spoke some very clear words to me.

“Truly I say to you, this is a day of grieving and of many tears.  Even as your hearts are heavy, I too, knowing the choice that would be made, still have an agony running through my heart to see this choice manifest upon the earth.  The lot has been cast … the people have made their will known … contrary as it is to My will … and thus they will live and die according to their desires. I gave them the freedom and the power to decide their fate, and they have now chosen it.

Little faithful ones, you grieve that the Enemy and his camp are rejoicing in their victory.  Remember another time, when they likewise rejoiced, believing that they had defeated Me in death.  They fell victim to their own deception and will again. In the final result, My Enemy and his company will suffer an eternal loss that will be unbearable and unchangeable. Even soon, before eternity replaces all temporal life forever, My enemy will indeed suffer great losses.  The people of My heart, those who cast their lot with Me, have not been defeated.  Their victory has been transferred to an eternal location that cannot be taken from them.  What seems as humiliation, being handed to you by the world and by the dark powers deceiving it, is in My eyes a great exaltation.  Know that I have seen the faithfulness of those true to Me and to My word.  You, who have been faithful, shall not lose your reward.  Know this:  Your fasting and your supplications … your repentance and your declarations of truth were not in vain.  A day is coming in eternity when you will see the fruit of these things.  Only then will you be introduced to those who stand in My presence, because of the effect you had in turning them away from allying themselves with death and rebellion.  Your words, your fasting, and your prayers have snatched many from the fires that will come upon the earth from this choice of the nation; because they rejected death, due to your influence.  Be at peace in knowing that you served Me well.  What I wanted you to accomplish has been accomplished, even though you did not see the result in full, which you had prayed for.  You did not fail Me.

You have heard in your ears the sound of a ticking clock. It is the final hour that has now begun upon the earth.  The pendulum of the clock was put into motion with this vote; for this vote in indeed tied to Israel.  Know that the ticking has begun; counting down the days until My return.  You will be very surprised at the timing of My arrival.  Rejoice in that reality, even as you grieve in the knowledge of the evil that will come in this last hour.  There is still a harvest to nurture and to secure.  Look to that which remains to be accomplished. Turn your focus intently upon Israel, as soon she will face the world totally alone in her most desperate hour.  She will need your intercession to bring forth holy leaders, and great miracles of deliverance.  Your intercession will move My hand, bringing her close to My face.  Truly she will come to know Me and to depend upon Me.  This is your task now, as it always has been. Only now it is to be a more consuming task.

You must always seek mercy in the midst of My judgment.  Cry out until I tell you to intercede no more.  Be ready to gather in the many devastated, disenchanted, wounded, that will experience the consequences of their rebellion against Me.  At first, this country will experience a false sense of prosperity and safety. In a heart beat it will vanish; bringing the hard realities to bear.  They have been greatly deceived and the cost of it will be crushing.  What will be their response, but to first decry you as false prophets, fools, and naysayers? When the fruit of their choice descends upon their heads, they will blame you for bringing it through the power of your words.  Eventually some will realize their error in the midst of their agony and will come seeking refuge.  What will you do then, but to re-speak the truth?  At that time, some will hear, understand, and repent.  Seek My heart, so that you will receive the repentant rebellious in love.

I disagree, America will rise from the ashes. There are enough Christians who pray and fast for the perfect will of God for Ameirca and Isreal. We have taken a setback with this election, no question but we will rise again. As long as there is a God in Heaven and his people who are called by his name will humble themselves and seek his face there will be a change.

I does seem all is lost and the future is hopeless, but remember YHWH is in total control of all things. In His providence He guides the future to His intended purposes. He is continually involved.
    Acts 17:26,28 Heb.1:3 Mt.6:25-34 Mt.10:29-31 Dan.2:21 Prov.16:9
God’s plan is definite and fixed. All that God does He has planned before the creation of the world.
There is no such thing as luck or chance for a Christian.Nothing “just happens”
    Romans 8:28…”all things”

YHWH is soverign and works His purposes in every event.
We may stumble and fall mant times, but He is always holding our hand.

I will not presume to know what God’s will is at this time but I do know that I wept for the last dying gasp of the country I love and also for Israel. I spoke to my husband shortly after the election and told him that I just witnessed the death of America and the death of Israel. He thought I was being dramatic until he looked at our precious children and it finally hit him.

Not all Americans were fooled and none of us did enough to stop it. Now we must band together for the fight to come. Israel will never stand alone, not as long as there is breath in my body. I will speak out, many like me will speak out, and we will be heard.

Where there is life, there is always hope. You must believe in the Lord and his words. The time has come for all Christians as well as the Jewish people to stand together and speak out with one voice, God’s voice.

I too pened words like yours the day after the election. It saddens my heart knowing that my once great nation call United States of American has closed the book and finished it last chapture. But in pain comes glory and hope knowing that the Lord our God is standing at the gates of Heaven awaiting our Father to say bring home my children. We have lived in the best of times and the worst. Best for we shall see our true King and Lord come down with trumplets blazing and worse for we have failed to lead just one more to him. Glory be to our Father, his Son and the Holy Spirit.

I feel sad that the writer looks at the election of Obama so negatively. I as a Muslim, believe that without God’s permission, absolutely nothing happens. Also in Holy Quran God says something like “Thank me and I will give you more blessings and if you ignore my actions, I am strict in my punishment”. Thus whatever God has allowed to happen, we are supposed to thank Him. Also I am sad that the writer is so negative about Islam, which is a religion of peace. Also, why do they call them the two world wars, when really they are both the wars by Christians. Also to find out who really started the two wars, search on the internet for “Benjamin Freedman” and you will know how the two wars were started. May God bring peace and justice in this world…..ameen
ps I also beleive personally that “every dog has his day”. Thus Britain had its rule for about a hundred years, and then US had its emprire for a hundred years and of course now that time has come to an end.

The post here was very sobering in that it only brings to remind me of all of the “junk” that is going on within the Body of the Messiah in America. Despite there being so many “Christians”, the fear of GOD has been sadly diminished. There is a grave deception within the church itself, so why wouldn’t this same deception be within the world? I know many Christians who voted for McCain or Obama on the basis of “race” or just pure wrong motives with the true motive not having anything to do with Israel at all. Many Christians who voted for Obama believed that he won because he was GOD’s choice. They believed that Obama was an answer to prayer. This baffles me, but at the same time is doesn’t because of all that I have witnessed within the church itself. There is a strong breakdown within the Body of the Messiah. It has become ever more important to discern the times we are in and to discern who GOD’s people truly are. Believe me when I say I have witnessed the alarm being sounded within the Church world with many not responding because of ears that do not want to hear or choose not to. It’s sad, and even though our GOD is in control, HE still gives us a choice.

First of all. This is not the worst thing to happen to America. I don’t believe any of what has been said. We need “Change” of course. Mccain would have brought us down more by following the same road as before. We have to think about the bigger picture. America needs help before we can help anyone else. And the time for our help has come. What do Christians have against Obama exactly. That he is a democrate? or that he is black? He isn’t even president yet and you think the world is, literally, going to end.

One word is true of shasta’s comment - ASHES.. America is going to ashes. When majority of people vote to compromise morality for riches, let’s be sure that the Judgement of God is round the corner. Our God is a righteous judge, there were prophets (men of God) during Israel’s destruction (God’s Judgement) all that came out of the mouth of true prophets was judgement judgement nothing but judgement.
2Ki 23:25 Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the LORD as he did—with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.
2Ki 23:26 Nevertheless, the LORD did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger, which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to provoke him to anger.
2Ki 23:27 So the LORD said, “I will remove Judah also from my presence as I removed Israel, and I will reject Jerusalem, the city chose, and this temple, about which I said, ‘There shall my Name be.
Be sure of the coming Judgement which is inevitable.

Another piece to the prophetic puzzel has been placed upon the EndTime picture. Now I can see why Israel’s allies in Ezekial 38-39 only bark verbal protests at the encircling enemy camp instead of coming to her aid. No longer is America a Judeo-Christian nation. My heart aches to realize that enough americans are blinded to the truth. But alas! On the horizon, Come Lord Jesus! Let Israel mourn as she would only for a first born! America, be careful of what you wish for, you just got it! May God have mercy on us all.

We are living in the days before jesus’s return. All of us who follow God should stay strong and persevere. No one knows the day or the hour of our lord’s return, but we should reach out to those who do not believe and have fallen away from our lord. I was upset as well with the election, but I remembered that god puts in office who he wants, and this will serve whatever purpose he has for our country whether good or bad. He will take care of us and we should not loose heart. Nothing happens without the lord’s approval!

It is indeed a very dark day for America and the western world. When our people looked for a savior, they looked to the wrong one. Obama, a man from the dark shadows, has siezed control over this nation, and is, no doubt, coiled to strike at the very fundamental truths, on which this nation was founded. Woe to us when we put our sinful priorities over the God who raised us up to be the most powerful nation on earth. We are not so powerful that the Almighty cannot impose his judgement on us, as we have spit in his face again, with the election of this man, Obama. The masses who cry out for this false messiah, will soon pay with bitter tears, but then it will be too late. I love America, and I love the apple of God’s eye. I think the final chapter of American history is near. I think the future of Israel is safe in the long run. Who can stand against God and his chosen ones? As a Christian, I have a great hope to stand with the Jew who has accepted Christ in that great final day.

    Great article, Stan.
It’s a shame that the American people have made their choice for a president who could be “the beginning of sorrows”. I am just as sad as you are that our country is facing a decline while the revised Roman Empire is on the rise. This means that America, being the world’s policemen, is coming to an end. We will face a liberal president, Congress and the courts. Our checks and balance system will go down the drain while homosexually, abortion, socialism, cashless system and rebellion against God is on the rise. But we are on the right prophetic track and each time the bible points out our future events, God made it happen because that is His plan. We are moving very close to meet Jesus in the air and that is the only peace we will have forever. Just think, we are in a generation when Israel became a nation in 1948 and we will be alive when God commands Jesus to snatch His bride. This is the greatest gift our generation can ever have. I pray every day for Jesus to come and take me.

I have not been able to stop crying for America. The Lord called me to fast and pray for America and for the election. I was devastated at the results and have felt such pain in my heart that America has betrayed Israel, and America has taken a turn in the wrong direction. Kathleen’s words comforted me in that those who had been praying and fasting, it will not be in vain. I weep for my nation. I am so saddened that so many Christians are basically “shrugging their shoulders” as if to say, oh well, it was God’s will. NO!!! America did not choose wisely!!! America chose against God and the apple of His eye! I am deeply grieved in my spirit. I am trying to hold on to any glimmer of hope right now. Oh God have mercy on us!

I also cry for America and Israel..We have become what we deserve…
May we as believers sound the alarm, before it is to late.We must trust the LORD and be faithful unto him,,,even unto death….
He is still in control and his Will will be done,,,May he have mercy on all of us…

My concern for some time now is family and friends. Everyone I see I ask myself. Is he ready or is she ready to meet our Savior. I don’t know how to feel. Joy and sorrow at the same time.

Let’s not look at the the accomplishments of the evil one and worry about what he is doing. We need to re-focus our attention to our God, the God who loves both the lost and the saved. The Holly Spirit of God is in our world even today changing the hearts of people every day, let’s lift up our leaders to the Lord, ask the Lord to send our President elect, someone who can change his heart. The Lord has a way to solve any problem, if we come to him with passion. It’s time to get on our knees and pray, pettion the Lord. The people of God need to unite in prayer, and be on one accord. The mountain can be moved. Mr. Obama could turn out the be one of the most God fearing man in the white house. Let’s beleive for the big stuff, we have a big God.

Thank you so much for the encouragement in the midst of our sorrow. My family has been in much distress as a result of the election knowing the choice wasn’t so much about Obama, but what he stood for. I can hardly hear the Star Spangled Banner without tears knowing that our once great Christian nation is no more and will soon be fallen like it never has. We will soon know what it truly means to trust God like we never have had to as citizens in this nation before. Our work her is not done yet, but the time is quickly approaching when none can work. Let us use our remaining time to prepare for what we know is to come, prayer and strengthening each other for the trials ahead.

I totally concur with the foregoing articles. We, as truly born-again believers certainly have a hope beyond this life.
I really believe that the USA has “turned the corner”, never to regain her losses and her freedoms. How ficklle are so many Americans to follow a “leader” so totally anti-Christ, pro-abortion,gay marriages, homo sexual behaviors, anti-Israel.
Before long we’ll see an “implosion” in Washington. Now the Islamic world has one of their own in the White House. For the CHristian, we are now four or even eight years closer to the Lord’s returns for His Bride. Praise the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. SHALOM and MARANATHA. TOm Z

sasha, u could have every beleiver in the world praying for the U.S.A. but it does not negate the fact that God’s will shall be done. Americas demise is propheside in the story of ephraim and mannesah. And notice America is not spoken of in end time prophecy, thats no coincidence. America will abandon Israel in its time of need, and only God can sve them. Sorry we are finished as a power. But as believers we should not be worried.

It is indeed the beginning of the end. God validates but one nation, that is the nation of Israel. He has chose but one, Israel. He loves but one, Israel. He guarantee’s but one, Israel. God’s word says that all the world will be against Jerusalem (i.e., Israel) and America was the last to now officially join the pagan world to do so. Personally, I don’t believe that Americans put Obama in the White House. The elitists did. They are able to manipulate many “things” to make it look like he won. But like the article above says, McCain would have been no better…just another puppet of the elitists. Praise God in Jesus Name my son is saved & has been brought up in the ways of the Lord and will meet Jesus in the air with me & his mother I believe soon…very soon! The anti-christ is no doubt waiting to come on the scene & after this election, it is easy to see how the whole world will wonder & worship him. Christians…prepare to blast off!

Arrogant kingdoms and goyim nations come and go like disco, don’t they. [Israel will always remain His Covenant Land.]

I’m all ready convincing my Heeb friends to reclaim Greater territory, namely Sinai, Southern Levanon, Jordan, Judea & Samaria: Eretz Yisroel HaShlema.

As the latest hattip to be disseminated throughout the blogosphere notes: strangely, Obama is linked to Gog of Magog aka the historically geographical land of Russia (former Soviet Union). It’s not a farfetched attachment, since “Alaska’s territorial waters touch Russia’s territorial waters in the Bering Strait, though the Russian and Alaskan islands are almost 3 miles apart” (Wikipedia).

The name Obama spelled אובאמה appears exactly once, possibly twice in all of Tanach having a 7 letter skip forward pattern. (A 7 skip forward pattern is considered the most significant kind in Bible Code land.)

The first place is in Yermiyahu 46:27-28. The second place is in Yechezkel 38:2-3.

    This is how it reads:

    Which translates as:

2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him
3 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign L-RD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.

It’s the wild, wild, East from hence forward. And good riddance to the doomed West! I’m casting my lot for the re-establishment of a Theocratic Dovidic Monarchy in Eretz Yisroel HaShlema=)D

The Bible says it best In 1 Samuel 8, was it God’s will for Israel to have a king? Yes, but the way they demanded it was wrong. So God gave them the tall and handsom Saul, Through Saul”s tragic reign, God taught them that they needed a king who was not like the kings of the other nations. They needed a king who would obey God’s word instead of following his own will, a king who would trust in God instead of himself. Sound familiar? This election out-come was not God’s Will. It was the peoples will and God gave us over to it. I did not vote for Obama, my heart and love is for the Jews, America, and the un-born. Pray for mercy in time of judgement. Keep your oil lamps full, and look up. Our redemption draws near!

Stan, once again I say THANK YOU for posting this. I agree completely with every word of it.

Some STILL do not see (no spiritual eyes), though they wear the label “christian”. It’s beyond me.

This man is no ordinary Liberal. This man is being called, “The Chosen One” “The Messiah”. He is considered the First Global President. THAT dear friends, should be sounding an alarm in your spirit!

This man has wicked plans on his agenda. Plans which will effect the lives of each and every American, each and every Israeli.

    This was no ordinary election.
America has begun her fall. Her fate is sealed.

To all Believers I say, “Fall on your face before the LORD. Seek His face! Lay down your idols and place HIM first in your life. Or else you may not have the strength to stand when what’s coming upon this nation comes in like a flood, fast and furious. Prepare NOW! Don’t put it off another day. Will He find Faith when He returns? Stay alert. Watch and pray. And pray that you will be counted worthy to escape what’s coming upon the earth.

As soon as mankind figures out they can’t govern themselves then every knee while bow and become humbled under the mighty HAND of GOD! Obama is just another man and Israel is just another nation of men. We still practice war, aggression and violence, whether secular or religous. This too will end.
Show me in the bible where it is written that the messiah will return to earth, to sit upon the throne of David and restore order to the earth. Where He will gather His people Israel from the four corners of the earth and bring them back to the land promised to Abraham, Issac and Jacob. I choose to call this messiah Jesus Christ and He hasn’t done this yet. You are rushing the HAND of GOD!
So I ask who are the jews? who is Israel? the jews in the bible are only people of the tribe of Judah. Even in Jesuss’ time the nation of Israel didn’t exist, only the nation Judah. The covenant of the land wasn’t to Judah. It was passed on, by birthright, to the sons of Joseph, they are the lost tribes of Israel. They are Israel not jews! The boundries of Judea in Christs’ time was reckoned by rhe Romans not GOD.
The boundries set up for the tweleve tribes shows Judahs’ boundries, that all. The nation of Israel has not been restored on the promised land, only the nation Judah.
The palestinion uprising “ain’t nothing” yet. Watch— Jerusalem will be the climax and “not a soul will be left” except by Christs’ return who will put and end to mans’ warring. Israel will return and law and order will be established. as promised.

Sorry Shasta, and all who believe as you do. As much as I love my country and am proud to be an American, I have to say that America will fall. It is unavoid able. I have been saying for two years now that the sign of the times are here and that a leadership under Obama will take us to ruin. I am not talking financial or economic or anything else, I am talking about the will of God. And if we read our bibles, we will see that America is not center of the earth and there is nowhere in scripture that America is even mentioned. We will fall. Obama will pull allegiance with Israel and that will lead us both wide open for attack. Unfortunately so, but the will of God never the less. For those who would scoff all I can say is watch and see.

This article actually goes too far towards the sin of despair. God does awaken countries that have fallen away from Him from time to time. This has happened in Britain and America several times in the past, as well as in Israel of old. It can happen again. We must pray.

Four years is too few for the entire populace to be changed in its beliefs. So is eight. What could happen though is the importation/naturalization of millions of leftist voters, and the legalization of the viewpoint of the founding fathers. The situation *is* grim, and could be terminal for America. But despair is not the right response, nor is it necessarily accurate.

There are a few things that have been forgotten. If we are faithful and hold true to our beliefs, this too shall pass. We are not given any trial or tribulation that we cannot handle. We can handle this. In the grand scheme of things- it is 4 years- in the Eternal perspective- this is but minutes of our lives. Trust yourselves to do all that you can do that is RIGHT AND JUST. We are only in control of our own lives and actions- NOT those millions that chose this President. Go on teaching your children to be faithful and kind and Christ will prevail. Being angry or upset because of the outcome of this Presidential election, puts Satan in your heart. Love overpowers hate. What happened to loving thy enemy?? Loving those that make it difficult to love them shows where your heart is. It is not easy, but it will be worth it. That we are promised.

I too was so disappointed that Senator Obama was elected. Americans cannot tolerate economic set-backs and always blame the administration in power for them. It is encouraging that 48% of us still vote for the betterment of our nation, regardless of how much is in the bank. We endured 8 years of an immoral liar, who did not hesitate to perch the naked bottoms of willing women on the Resoulute Desk in the Oval Office. He ushered in a lying and immoral generation of men, just as President Bush has ushered in 8 years of moral and stradfast leadership. While not reported in the media, America has raised up a generation of men who are proud to defend and die for their country. Their service overseas has shown them how real and important Godly values are, and how protecting and defending your country is divine duty. In this, I know that leaders will arise that see clear the truth of the ages, and fear God.

Our comfort in this is that God uses the wicked just as He uses the rightous to accomplish His great purpose; to restore the earth and man unto Him. We can see that He is accomplishing His purpose in each of us daily. How I look forward to the day when His purposes are accomplished, and the veil that separates us from His presence now is forever lifted.

I agree with some above that say that America chose it’s fate long ago when it legalized the murder of unborn babies. I do not yet subscribe to the dooms-day outlook. Perhaps we’ll realize the gravity of our election mistake soon enough to turn the ship around.

Tto address some that question why we believers aren’t happy that Obama was elected I have an answer.

It’s not that he’s democrat or that he’s black. It’s that he stands proudly for the ending of the lives of unborn human beings. He approves of the most gruesome forms of abortion that exist. Obama hates those who are true believers in God’s holy words. He mocks the bible. He is an advocate of all forms of debauchery and humanism. He is a veiled figure who has not yet shown his true, true colors.

America has made a huge mistake. Many voted for him because it was the “trendy” thing to do. They have no idea what he’s going to try and do with this once great nation.

I am conflicted on the America/Israel-centric view of the world…. All people are God’s children and need saving. This includes even Palestinians and Iranians. Some “Christian” leaders speak so much ill-will towards these people groups it is almost sinful. In Matthew we are all commissioned to go forth and preach the Gospel to all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We’ll see what Obama is able to do. Until then, we as Christians must pray for our new leader and the direction our country is going.

I completely agree with the article. God is what made America great. And we continually grieve Him with our choices. We have taken Him out of our schools, our public offices, we abort the innocent, we removed His Son, Jesus, from our holidays, we allowed gay marriages, and we continually force Israel’s hand to subdivide His Land that He gave the Jewish people.

With the natural and economic disasters our Country has been experiencing, it does appear His annointing is off our Country. Why would we think any differently. Just reading the Old Testament we see many times when He did the same to the Jewish people and they are “the Apple of His eye.”

But according to the Bible, the nations of the world must feel they could successfully attack Israel, and as long as the US is a major force and an ally of Israel that will not happen. Something has to happen to allow this and Barack Obama, I feel, is a major component in that equation.

I feel sorrowful for the US, because I love my Country and I truly feel it will never be the same. And I love Israel as well. I am almost envious of those in Israel because they have God watching over them. And they are going to experience some rough times, but God will fight for them. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the Bible that mentions God fighting for the US. God will be faithful to take care of His Children, but Christian’s in the US, be prepared for some rough times ahead.

I am greatly grieved over the election to the point I became ill the next day! I too feel that America has fallen in all of its glory. I remember as a child how proud my father was that he fought in WWII and it ended in victory! Today all of our past enemies now own America it will not be long and the National Treasury will change in “God We Trust.” to “?” America took a big blow on 9-11 and the war and economy broke us. We have been there so many times in the past to rebuild countries that we fought against, and now it is their turn to rebuild America. And, one day Putin will grow weary of us and say we are a hinderance we eat too much and are fat and lazy, let’s do away with America, and in a blinking of an eye it will be gone. Christians are out numbered and whites are out numbered.

Romans 9:17For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[g] 18Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

I believe that, even as God put Pharaoh into power so that He could judge Egypt, so God has put Obama into power so that He may judge America. We kicked God out when we banned the 10 Commandments, and angered Him when we approved the “right” to abortion to murder 50 million babies. The Nazis killed “only” 6 million souls, which makes us as a people and nation eight times worse than the Nazis.

Nevertheless, let us remember Paul’s admonition:

Titus 2: 11For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Let us look up, for our redemption draweth nigh.

You are correct! America will never be the same. Please believe, however, there are thousands upon thousands of Evangelical Christians and American Jews still praying for Israel. We are all descendants of Abraham and Noah. We are all children of God. Our Jesus is with us and will be until the end. With all of the disasters in this country - the election, the economy, same sex marriages, sinful depravities, etc., those living in the “world” look in the faces of those of us who love our Lord, and they wonder at the peace God has given us. Yet the sad matter is, they don’t know it IS God’s peace that passeth all understanding. We wait and still work toward the goal in getting the message of Jesus and salvation out. Yes, we are a “peculiar people” as it states in God’s Word, but we love God and trust in Him for all things. No, America will never be the same - but have faith in knowing that our God is always the same - He never changes!! May the peace of the Lord be with you as it is with us. We will remember to pray for Israel. Please remember to pray for America. There are many of us who are still homesick for Israel. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all!

    Shalom Stan, Jan, & Kathleen

Yesterday I remarked to our Pastor that now we know how easy “the antichrist” will sweep into power which is exactly the same thing Kathleen Mitchell has penned. I am in agreement with what is written in this post. I feel Obama is an antichrist as described by John in 1 John 2:18 (Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.) Pastor Gunderson remarked that Obama is really the first US President who could without any strain of conscience hand over the US to “the antichrist”….. On a silver platter I added. We are indeed living in perilous times. We shall pray , fast, interceed, witness , help others and do everything in our power for the glory of God. As I have said in many previous posts on this forum, Gird up your loins brothers and sisters, tribulation is coming!

Some of you really need to reread your Bibles and stop putting words in God’s mouth. This may be the beginning of the end but remember there have been wars and rummers of wars in every decade for two thousand years. The earth has screamed as if in child birth since the fall of man to sin. Let not your hearts be troubled believe in God and also his son the Christ. As Jesus said there is no other way to the father than through Him. Stop the doom an gloom and start praising God for the blessings you have now. Wake up and repair what remains.

Shasta, read Rev. 12:17 and 14:12. Most of the Christians in America “hold to the testimony of Jesus” but have dismissed God’s commands as nullified. His people who are called by His name are identified by keeping the Lord’s Sabbaths (not the pope’s) as well as being believers in Jesus. (See Isaiah 56:1-8) The LORD’s people, such as Paul and the early church leaders, rejoice when new believers are zealous for God’s Torah (see Acts 21:20-24). They don’t see God’s loving instruction as the antithesis of grace. For the most part, most “Christian” churches teach about a Torah-breaking, pig-eating Jesus that scarcely resembles the Messiah of Israel, the Word made Flesh. God’s commandments are eternal (Psalm 119:89 and 152, for instance) and to teach that they are done away with contradicts Jesus Himself (Matt. 5:17-18 and Luke 16:17).
Only with true repentence by the Christian church to return to the whole Word of God can America hope to see any positive change. Then we can legitimately begin to claim 2 Chron. 7:14 as our prayer. Will it happen? I pray so. But I fear that we had our opportunity on Nov. 4 and sealed our fate when we chose a man who supports the murder of infants and perverse life styles over a pro-life, pro-family candidate. Obama could not have been elected without the support of many who claim the name of Jesus. I think they will be surprised when they cry “Lord! Lord!” and He says, “Depart from me, I never knew you, you workers of Torah-less-ness.”(Matt. 7:21-23)
“If anyone turns a deaf ear to the Torah, even his prayers are detestable.” (Prov. 28:9) Please listen up, Christians. Time is short.

May the Lord bless us and keep us and make His face to shine down upon us and give us peace. I also cried the night of the election for Israel and America. People in this country wanted change more than they wanted forgiveness. So, the Lord granted it. We still need to pray for this country and also, Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. May the Lord’s blessing be upon us all.

G_d is sovereign. All of this is according to His perfect plan. All we can do is follow the Scriptures and Pray for those in Authority. (1Titus 2:1-2) All authority is given by G_d. (Romans 13: 1) Let us pray for His perfect will to be done. The time of Messiah’s return we know not when, but for those who believe it is a Great and Glorious Day ! Halleluia !

Thank you for this article in which I agree with, as an african american it saddens me that ppl have forgotten the words of Martin Luther King, that we shouldn’t judge by the color of a man’s skin, but by his choices, and deeds(para phasing) it hurts to see that most blacks, and black churches voted for Obama because of color not knowing his stance on key biblical issue like abortion, gay marriage, etc… But praise the LORD for he is in total control of all things, as I sat through the pass weeks listening to Obama speak, the Holy Spirit also came to me and said this is how thee anti- christ will seduce the ppl on the earth with flawless speeches and the assurance that he will do what he promised, I just thank GOD for touching my spirit to let me know who and what our country faces in the time to come. As saints of GOD please support the ACLJ which is GOD’s tool here in america to fight against the liberal stances they wisdh to make law and destroy what GOD has ordain, May the LORD bless you and continue to give you wisdom and understanding of his word, but lets also as christian remember to pray for our leader as the word teaches, that he will place godly ppl around him to make godly choices.

I am surprise that no one saw this nation fell eight years ago when Bush took office. The LORD has took his hand off of this nation because it has turned its’ back on him. It has removed the bible from schools and replace it with guns, it has took his name of its’ coins, it has allowed homosexual marriages, and even preach in some churches that it is good to be a homosexual. Do you really believe that now that a man you fear is the begging of the end? There is much more to come for this nation, there will be famine you will hear of people eating their dead. This nation will be torn apart; beginning in the north, these two states will leave the union for lack of trust in the federal government. The other states will follow the last two will be Texas and California; they will be force to join the new union because of trade. All of this will happen as the LORD shared with me eight years ago. Lastly President Bush will be come known as the President with-out power thus said the LORD.
We are in the days before his coming, when the LORD said “the figs are ripe.” I was afraid that the end is near, but was also happy. The Lord said “HE will lift up their skirts and show there shame.” Meaning those who have been given power will no longer operate as they did taking advantage of the poor and helpless. Their secrets will be revealed. They will not be able to make money they way they did buying and trading. The billions of dollars they poured in the system will not help, because HIS hand is it. But his servant will protect Israel.

Jan Willem. Remember me from the feast of Tabernacles?
I want to thank “tanknypd” for his/her comments. We have African-American friends who told us that they were going to vote Bible, not race. Cool!
Also, I believe we in America are in the state we are becase of abortion-on-demand. I don’t believe God is going to put up with abortion, and our great nation will become a third-rate force in the world and the hegemony will move East.
My prayer for Obama is that he will become a committed Christian and serve the Lord, as well as a wise President.
    Love and blessings, Bob Thompson

If I can accept that it was God’s will to take my son home to heaven while he was enjoying a day of windsurfing on the Columbia river last July, only 35 years old, than I can accept anything that God chooses to do to America, Israel, Europe, me and my family, God does not want any true disciple of His to put anything, or anyone above Him. Weeping for America, to me, means that you love your country too much. Sure, I wept, and still do, in grief for my beloved son, but, my Bible tells me to love God more than even my dear son. Reading about Job reminds me that even he had to come to the conclusion that he could not really understand all that God allows or does. That’s why faith is so important. Trust Him…Trust Him…Trust Him…Rejoice always, my Bible says. We are only frogs in the pond. We don’t know about God’s big wide world and big plans for the coming kingdom of His dear son. We are only pilgrims on this earth. I don’t believe there are so many true prophets as I have seen commenting here. NOBODY knows what will happen next, except that a change is going to come. Trust Him…Trust Him…Trust Him… and remember to be thankful and rejoice that He is our Saviour.

I am left speechless by the ignorance of this article…. Senator Obama will be one of the greatest presidents in U.S history. And for all of you who are saddened that the U.S is straying from its Christian roots, shut up please. The founding fathers strictly said that there will be a separation of church and state; if you want a Christian country, please leave America and find another country to live in. The only sad part about this entire article/forum is the fact that there is obviously no understanding of what this country is really about. The U.S is NOT a Christian nation. Under the leadership of Obama, the U.S will rise up from this recession and reclaim its seat as the greatest nation on Earth. And Obama said in his victory speech shortly after the election, he cannot do this alone. We as Americans must put aside our differences and work together to repair this country, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand… You know what…. I give up…. You guys go ahead and pray for the safety of our country, I don’t really care. Just please don’t refuse to support Obama because the only way we can get out of this mess is to work together, whether we like it or not.
Thanks for reading my angry rant but I got angry, and I hope I didn’t offend any of you.

P.S. before you go off and say that I don’t believe in God, I would like you to know that I do believe in God and I am a very very strong supporter of Israel and the U.S. Both of which I consider to be the greatest nations on Earth.

From the uttermost parts we at the bottom of the world who had eyes to see & ears to hear are not surprise by the content of this article. To the point & needing to be said. Rev. Jeff concerns me with his comment that we should get ready to “blast off”, it sounds like the rapture is embedded in his thinking, surely one is required by the Lord to look further than this sort of out!

This article reminds me of the book of Jeremiah. Jeremiah kept telling the king(s) and those in Judah that Babylon was coming, but they listened to the false prophets that said everything would be just fine.

So, how do we know the difference between a true prophecy and a fake one? It is a historical fact….when the moral fiber of the country declines, it implodes from within. Here are some nations that rose to world power then declined to relatively nothingness: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome….same pattern over and over.

Should we be alarmed? Not if we trust in the Lord, for though there will be rough times and those that trust in the Lord will come under more persecution, he will never leave us or forsake those that trust in HIM! Keep looking up! He is coming back sooner than we all think.

Jesus said that “The Love of Money is the Root of all Evil” when throwing the “money changers” out of the temple for charging usury.
Our nation/worlds problems, are not caused only by “Flesh and Blood” but by powerful rulers in high places that are controlled by dark forces under the heavens.
And what should we do for protection?
First, Repent of our evil practices. Then, Love the Lord with all your heart, (who in the first place made all the natural resources that men world wide fight over) and love your neighbor and treat them as you would want to be treated.
When you do this, in the long run, you will be protected.

The beginning of the end happened the moment eve bit that apple, but the Lord God had already had a plan of redemption for those who would call upon His name. We must remember that some things must happen in order for prophecy to be filled, lawlessness will happen because we still live in a fallen world. The Lord is always in control and uses the ungodly as well to fill His purpose. (Revelation 17:17) We must not live in a frantic state as His people, as we are to bring His peace and be living examples in this time where everyone is seeking security in everything apart from Jesus Christ. What we focus upon will eventually consume us, if it is evil in this world and demonic presence, well then, downcast, fearful and frantic christians we willl be, if we focus upon Him (Isaiah 26:3) and live in His strength, and lift up His name, well then, peace filled and joy filled christians we shall be. Get ready bride, for your hour to show forth His honor, grace, glory, mercy, love and power is at hand! Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Great article. During the 2nd. world war mankind was depending entirely on God.Prayer meetings could be heard continuously crying for mercy from God. When God answered our prayers and the war closed-the first thing we cast down was our guns and then we cast down God and set about to establish Babel again. We then in the mid 60’s made legal the murder of the unborn and it has sykrocketed since. The last sin we as a nation will commit after we forsake Israel will be making legal as a nation is the State of approval by law is same sex marriage. Then we will finally meet God head on. He says The nation that forgets God will be turned into Hell.

    Shalom All,

I think in the principle biblical theme it is clearly understood in the following…

    Mark 3:24-25
‘And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.’

I am of the conviction that true abiding, bonding and UNITY IS FOUND and realized IN and THROUGH the Word Of G-d which is not only replete but explicit.

His sure and tried Word is the foundation by which an individual, and or, nation can stand solidly and safely on.

Obviously, the conditions prevailing in the United States on the religious, moral, social, and political front clearly show great division.

The ‘revision’ or new vision for our country is not going to be realized in the ideals of Obama or anyone save the Messiah and our very living G-d of Israel and all the earth.
