A number of developments in the final days of the American presidential campaign have been interesting, to say the least.
Specifically I am thinking of the following:
On October 28 Joe ‘The Plumber’ Wurzelbacher, was filmed on the stump for John McCain answering a provocative question by American Jew, Stan Chapman, who asked whether he agreed that “a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel.”
Replied the plumber: “I’ll go ahead and agree with you on that.”
Also on October 28, Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin identified yet another shady character associated with Barack Obama, PLO sympathizer and enemy of Israel, Rashid Khalidi
A few days earlier, leftists leaped gleefully on the news that 75,000 Jewish voters had received an email from Pennsylvania Republicans which, they charged, compared the rise of Barak Obama with the rise of Adolf Hitler, and warned American Jews against silently accepting this dangerous development.
Of note on this side of the Atlantic is that the extreme leftist daily Ha’aretz - which has been trumpeting the “news” that Israeli Jews overwhelmingly support Obama - ran this story on its website for at least five full days. It was this newspaper, and not the original report on the New York Times Politics Blog (http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/24/pennsylvania-republicans-send-false-anti-obama-e-mail/) that actually scored the Pennsylvania Republican Party’s “Victory 2008†committee for “likening Obama vote to rise of Hitler.”
All the Republican email actually said was “Jewish Americans cannot afford to make the wrong decision on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008. Many of our ancestors ignored the warning signs in the 1930s and 1940s and made a tragic mistake. Let’s not make a similar one this year!” The main concern expressed by the NYT was that the email had “taught members of Acorn to commit voter registration fraud’’ and that Obama was “associated with a known terrorist, William Ayers, who thought the terrorists didn’t do enough on 9/11.â€
Hitler’s name was not so much as mentioned in the original.
For Ha’aretz, however, this was the main crime, that Republicans would DARE to infer that Obama was a comparable threat to the perpetrator of the Holocaust. One of the effects - and I strongly suspect that it is the desired effect - of such eruptions of outrage at any suggestion that another genocidal destruction of Jews could be in the offing is that everyone shies almost violently away from drawing any such links.
Wurzelbacher, drilled about his acquiescence with the death of Israel question by Fox News‘ Shepard Smith, said he was simply offering his “personal opinion that I’ve come up with by looking into different facts,” but that “you don’t want my opinion on foreign policy. I know just enough about foreign policy to probably be dangerous.”
Reacting after the interview, Smith said “it just gets frightening sometimes.” The popular Fox anchor stressed that Obama “has said and demonstrated repeatedly that Israel will always be a friend of the United States.”
But let’s take a cool-headed approach to this issue. Let me ask the real, reasonable question:
Could the existential threat to Israel increase under a President Barack Obama?
It’s Chapman’s question, just worded differently. And our choice of words is doubtless important. Throw too radical a sentence out there and people recoil; you lose them. Gently float a more cautiously phrased query, and your audience sleeps on, interpreting the calmness of your words to mean that, after all, the threat isn’t all that real; the danger not all that great.
In a world where devout Muslims are defiantly determined to get their hands on nuclear weapons, and where resurgent Russians under a KGB-trained killer is again extending its military reach and its belligerence, the danger could hardly be greater for the Judeo-Christian world (or what’s left of it). And it could hardly be greater for Israel.
Shep Smith’s defense of Obama’s pledges to Israel only add to this threat.
Sensitize your spirit, reader, and you will recognize that the Israel question - and relations between America and the Jewish people - has repeatedly surfaced at this very late stage in the day because it is a major issue. I would say, THE major issue. Is the enemy tipping his hand?
Two days ago I wrote to the American intercessor Dutch Sheets after reading his recent email appeal for prayer for the elections. An excerpt:
“Although a non-American, I very much share your deep concern for your country - so much so that I have made numerous visits to speak to churches and home groups there during the last few years - including a year-long extended speaking tour with my wife and our five children, during which we travelled through 35 states across the country. Over the past two years I have been there five times, and most recently I toured the south eastern United States for three weeks in September.
I also fully share your convictions about the moral ills plaguing your great nation. My personal belief is that the United States was indeed established by God, founded by truly godly men, and heavily invested in by the Almighty in order that it be that “city on a hill” envisaged by John Winthrop and proclaimed by Ronald Reagan.
From where I stand it is quite apparent to me - as an “outsider” - that a furious war is raging for your national soul. As you have clearly identified them, the battle lines are most clearly drawn on the fields of abortion, the homosexuals’ attack on marriage and other morality erosion, and the freedom to pray in schools and otherwise publicly express the Christian faith.
As comprehensive as your sweep is, however, it has one glaring gap. The issue of Israel.
Dear Brother - the question of Israel and America’s relationship with this land and nation is, I believe, THE PARAMOUNT ISSUE upon which your nation will be judged and, in fact, is being judged even by the threat of an Obama victory next week.
As we read in Joel 3, in these days and at this time when God brings back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, He will also gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and will enter into judgement with them there NOT ON ACCOUNT OF ABORTION, ‘GAY’ MARRIAGE etc, but “on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.”
As I would be happy to share with you at length, I know that America has blessed Israel in some pretty amazing ways over the last 100 years. While all the glory goes to the Lord, He has in a very real way allowed the United States to preserve Israel, even against destruction. There is no question in my mind that God has honored His pledge to “bless those who bless” the seed of Abraham by abundantly blessing America.
At the same time, it is the United States that, for the last at least 20 years, has been spearheading the global effort to force Israel to relinquish its hold over, and claim to, the cradle of Jewish civilization, Israel’s biblical heartland, and to allow the establishment on those lands of a Muslim Arab state called Palestine.
Yesterday morning, before reading your email, I was out for a run and went past the open plot of ground near my home which has been waiting for years for the United States Embassy to be built there. As you likely know, America (along with the rest of the world) rejects Israel’s right to Jerusalem as its exclusive capital and seeks to play “honest broker” in the discredited peace process between Israel (the miraculously-preserved nation so hated by the world) and the Arabs (who desire to destroy the Jewish state).
Despite being positively couched as a “peace process” - this is without a doubt an immoral and unrighteous process; even more criminal than was the betrayal of Czechoslovakia by the great Powers in 1936, when Britain and France coerced the Czechs into surrendering The Sudetenland to Hitler in an effort to appease him. To pressure the Jews into giving up for all time their national birthplace in order to appease the always-belligerent Arab world; and this with the full knowledge that with that territory in their hands the Arabs will be that much closer to realizing their goal of destroying all of Israel, is a breathtakingly immoral act.
The Bible tells us that God has a day of vengeance for the controversy of Zion, and that His robes will be stained red in the blood of the nations after He has trampled them out in the winepress of His wrath. I don’t believe we can exaggerate the extent of His fury. He will come to the defense of His people and do battle against all those nations that come up against Jerusalem.
As you sound the alarm, the watchman’s warning, for your nation, please pray about also directing your readers’ attention to the critical issue of Israel. Deep down I know that if the Church in America prays your leadership into doing right by Israel, you will see astounding advances made on all your other battlefronts.
Israel is the front line. America’s relationship with Israel holds the key to America’s continued blessing.
May God bless you, and may He guide you as you seek to guide your countrymen through these next crucial days.
And may God have mercy on the United States!
Barack Obama’s platform, his policy agenda, his world view, his religion, his associations, his immaturity, his carefully-hidden depths - all comprise a clear and present danger to the security of the United States and the security of the world.
Conservative Americans - Christians and Jews - are rightly fearful of what an Obama victory November 4 will mean for their great nation.
And I would want to blast it as loudly as I could in the ears of every true American: It’s good that you are afraid. Be very, very afraid. And get everyone you can to get out to vote on November 4.
As Ann Coulter said on the Fox News Channel’s O’Reilly Factor last night. If Obama becomes president on November 4, things will never be the same again. There will be no going back.
Will an Obama win lead to Israel’s destruction? The biblical answer is a resounding “no!”
A more immediately important question for Americans should be: “Will an Obama win lead to the demise of the United States?”

I believe that is what pleasing G-d has brought more information out on Obama the Msulim and how Saudi aids and suports his training and the campain, like they do all jihad around the world. YES ! Thank you, Stan, for saying it like it is. Israel is, indeed, “The Litmus Test for the World”. Just as an unborn child is small, helpless, full of potential — and to kill it will grieve G-d & please the evil one - also, Israel is small , full of potential, and since she does not fully trust in G-d she is weak– and to destroy her would grieve G-d and please the evil ones.
note also: Obama has said he believes there are many paths to G-d. God does not agree. So, what it comes down to, aside form the other issues that SHOULD be obvious (like letting babies live): will “christians” say that “what G-d says is truth & we must measure all things by that’ ?
or will they agree with Obama — & many others — who say that “humans get to choose which version of truth they will follow” ?
to put it in its simplest terms: idolatry (human-worship), or worship of G-d; those are your choices, O voters of America and of Israel. Choose wisely.
Since the 80’s my vote has always been on two issues. Israel, and abortion. I also received that email from Dutch Sheets. He is a tremendous man of God. I thank you for writing to him on this. I wrote to Sarah Palin and requested that she contact you (or me) also. I wrote as much as the area allowed.
I am definitely praying for your decision there as I am sure you are praying for us. Many here are also fasting (each in his own way) for God’s intervention. I have asked before and will ask again that you all join us in this effort. For both of our countries.
We truly are at a crossroads. An Obama presidency would be dangerous especially at this time in America. We have already seen our nation suffer with many natural disasters and economic chaos because of our treatment of Israel.
Bush and Rice’s peace policies MUST NOT continue or we are doomed. And to
think Obama will most certainly be worse, regardless of what he says in his scripted appearances. His actions and associations speak louder than his words.

I truly believe Sen. McCain loves Israel. I also believe his best friend, Sen. Leiberman does too (he is Jewish). I believe Gov. Palin loves Israel. They all deserve our prayer and support. And , would you Stan, in a congratulatory letter teach them how to best serve Isaeli interests? Would you continue to support them by letters of instruction and encouragement? I think everyone should read. Isaiah 60:

Israels promised land is situated between the Euphrates river and the top of the Nile. God promised this to Abraham and Sarahs seed forever.
The “Foundational Stone†that was placed in the center of the promised land is where Jesus will set up his throne and His kingdom. This place is now covered over with a golden dome by Allah followers, they will settle for nothing less than complete possesstion of it.
Israel is forever, God has declared that he would have a Righteouss Holy Nation and He has chosen Israel to do this with. Israel can never, and I repeat never be cut off!!!!. Yes, it will be hindered for 7 years, as Gods word declares, but Jesus will come back and set his feet upon the Mount of Olives and the eastern gate will be opened and Jesus will come through and set up His Kingdom on this earth for 1000 years of blissful peace, with satan bound. and at the end of this 1000 years, satan will be loosed to test man once again and then fire will come down from heaven and destroy satan and evil forever. Rev. 20: 7-10.

Subject: Pastor gives message to McCain & Palin from God
Dear Friend:
This past Tuesday, the McCain / Palin bus came through a little town called, Lebanon, Ohio.
The LORD allowed me to go to the Rally giving them a message that He wanted me to personally
deliver.
Sunday Night - a burden hit me that would only shake me to my knees - I prayed and wept for
our Nation. Never has my heart been so broken before God. I literally interceded for these
wonderful people who do not deserve all the hate against them. The GOD-Haters are going to
try everything to stop them, but they will not succeed!
God is not pleased with the “bashing” in the News of this “Anointed” person. He has called her for this
time! I promised God that I would pray and hold them up in prayer. I would “listen” out and be mindful
of where they were. The following d ay is important in this time-line…because I didn’t even know until
God spoke to me…
Monday and into Monday Night - the burden of prayer was so heavy that I was literally shaking and
could not stop weeping. I didn’t know that they were coming to Ohio. I prayed and walked and wept
and walked. I prayed and prayed and wept and prayed…
Tuesday at 2:00 A.M. - God spoke these words to me - “…Go turn the Radio on!” Immediately the
the Reporter’s Words were - “McCain & Palin’s bus to be in Lebanon later this morning for a 10:00 A.M.
rally!”
Immediately on hearing that news, I heard God again…
God said, “You are to go. You will meet them and give them a message for Me!”
I prayed as an intercessor and went to a place in prayer that I don’t think I’ve ever been…because
the LORD had just visited me…and I knew I was on a “Mission.” I had now been up since Sunday
NIght…and now it’s Tuesday and I’ve got to go on the “WORD of the LORD.” He sure became My
Strength as this unfolds…
I didn’t stop praying until I drove over to the town and parked the car. The News would later report
they were expecting 5,000 people and the actual head-count of those who had been scanned
was more than 10,000 people.
I simply obeyed…and God actually told me where to stand, who to talk to…and when to be on the
move. I had sure learned on the Mission Field, when God wants to open a door, He will do it at the appropriate time. He always has someone to assist…and even those standing beside you may just
be an Angel.
I struck up a conversation with an agent on the ground - he simply said, “I can’t allow you to stand here!”
Here is where the bus was going to actual pull up to. They had to make a much larger perimeter so the
entire area was now being moved back several blocks. The only other thing he told me to do was to
go through the metal detector zone and just watch from the back. So, that’s what I did.
Due to sensitivity of the internet…I can’t share much of the story as to what happened next was a definite
GOD THING ALL THE WAY.
Looking over the shoulders and backs and heads of all those people…I knew it would take a miracle for what GOD told me to do.
As I was standing there, two Boy Scouts came running up my back…literally, they almost knocked me to the ground because they were running so fast behind me…up my back and over to the right. These Boy Scouts were about Junior High Age. Their Scout Leader and several others were behind them…but as
the two out front was trying to push through the crowd, saying they were late…the smaller scouts were left
in the dust. The Scout Leader who was with a McCain Rep from the State grabbed me and told me bring
the other Scouts up front as they try to keep up with the first two that just came through.
I just became the leader of the rest of the Scouts to lead them right up front and center. As the Rep was
shouting back at me…to bring the Scouts forward…the people parted just like God parted the Red Sea.
I marched those boys right up front and to the right of the stage as one was looking from the back. When I got there I was fifteen feet from the podium. GOD said, “Stand here, and don’t move from this spot.”
Within five minutes…the bus pulled up and around the other side McCain, Sarah Palin and her husband Todd stepped up and the speeches took off. I was where God placed me…and even Sarah Palin and Todd were
standing on my side of the stage. I made eye contact, I gave them thumbs up gestures…and I knew they
were just happy to see me standing there. Ha Ha
When they came around the podium and started on the other side, I knew they were coming right toward me, a little lady who stood by me, reached up and told the Rep that they had promised a Picture with her
because she was the one who had lost a son in Iraq, recently. The Rep confirmed she would get a pic with them and they would talk to her. When McCain came to hug her… he immediately shook my hand and following his moment with her, I shook his hand as he grabbed my hand, now for the second time, and I said, “God wants you to know that I’m praying for you, Sir!” He thanked me and kept smiling. I repeated that phrase to him five times. He grabbed my hands and looked right into my eyes and said, “I won’t make it without prayer. Sir, Thank You for praying for me, and don’t let one day go by that you don’t pray for me. I need all the pra yers that I can get. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!”
As he moved to my right, Sarah Palin, came over to my left side…standing over the crowd and then
Looking at the little lady who had lost the son. It took a moment for her to shake some hands and people
were pushing in all around. Sarah came and got on her hands and knees on that side of the stage and
hugged that little Mom, telling her, “…it was not in vain.” She promised her support.
It was at this moment Sarah Palin, reached out for me to help her up and as I was assisting her to stand
I was now face to face with her and GOD said, “Open up your Mouth and I will fill it.”
Here is what came out…
“God wants you to know that you are a present day Esther!”
[She immediately began to cry]!
“God wants to tell you that you are Chosen for such a time as this!”
“You are called, and chosen to be a leader.”
“Don’t lose heart and don’t fear man.”
“The news and naysayers and criticizers are going to be very hateful toward you…
and in the days ahead they are going to turn up the heat…but do not fear.”
“You are a present day Esther.” You are an Esther. You are an Esther!
“Keep your eyes on GOD and know that He has chosen you to Reign!”
“Stay strong…be strong…don’t tire. Don’t be weary in well-doing. Be strong.”
Her husband Todd came over and I told him what I told her. He began to cry.
I emphasized the fact that he was to guard her at this time…and know that
“…she is GOD-CALLED and GOD-ANOINTED.”
“…this is a GOD-THING and your wife is a Present day Esther…she is for
God to use at this time…She is an Esther…she is an Esther…she is an Esther.”
“You will be hated…but stand strong…GOD has called both of you to stand!”
“We are praying and I am praying for you…!”
At this moment, McCain came right to where I was finishing talking to Todd and I told Mr. McCain exactly what I told to Sarah and Todd Palin.
“Mr. McCain, .they are called of God and she is an Esther.”
“Don’t lose hope and don’t lose heart.”
“We are praying for all of you!”
He shook my hand and with a deep look of understanding of what I had just said, he said, “Thank you for your prayers and support…I really do mean that!” And he turned and shook more hands…and I watched them as they went through the crowd.
When I got to my car I sat there for quite a long time…knowing the GOD of the Universe had just used me to deliver a message confirming to Sarah and Todd to realize they are truly chosen vessels of God.
I wept. I have not stopped praying and crying. My heart is full knowing they had to have all the staging and all the hype and all the crowd…but the GOD of Heaven and Earth…wanted to give them a Divine-God-Appointment!
To God be all the GLORY and HONOR.

I fully agree. Israel is the very key to God’s prophetic Word. How we ,as a nation as well as individuals, treat God’s chosen people and nation, Israel, is key to our survival or ultimate destruction. God’s jealous wrath to protect His Wife, Israel, will be beyond our comprehension. IT WILL HAPPEN! But, Israel, as a nation, will live on. Our beloved country, the U.S.A., , is about to be destroyed from within by greed and moral corruption. We have been leaving the Creator Jehovah out of our lives. We have been trying repeatedly to give away and divide the His Land which He has clearly promised to His Chosen People. That will be our ultimate undoing. I fear what Obama will do if he is elected President next Tuesday. It may be the final straw, perhaps, for our country. Amercia, AND Amercian Jews need to wake up before it is too late.
I have just now come from a Sarah Palin ralley (in Missouri)….what a dynamic and Godly woman….I saw a beautiful 3 year old little boy with no hands clapping his little stubs as she was talking about the cherished value of special needs children and all people….I pray that the people of my state and country see with unimpaired vision what is at stake here…..and they vote according to God’s will!

They heard what they wanted to hear. and what they wanted to hear is that their party gets elected no matter what lies they tell or what they do. I can see how this is dividing the U. I have just read Isiah 60:12. I think it is as plain as a nose on a face. Our troubles in the United States are directly related to the way we are treating God’s chosen people in these last days. As a nation, we have turned our back on God and anything that is right and pleasing in his sight. We have tried to manipulate the events in the middle east, without regard to the detrimental effect on the little nation of Israel. The democratic party has been hijacked by a bunch of leftist heathens, and they could certainly care less about God’s will, or the welfare of the Jewish people. The republicans are not free of guilt on this issue, but they would be much more likely to come to the aid of Israel than a party headed by the likes of a man known as Obama. We need to earnstly pray to the one who has the final say on the future of the whole world. We also request the prayers of God’s people all over the glone concerning this upcoming election.
Marc’s testimony has mooved me to tears, our G-d is a wonder working G-d. Let us pray as never before for the safety of our world as we know it, For America at this time of looking to Him for a new President, NOT THE CON MAN. I watched as both men just went on with their discussion as though this was true or something. I will comment on this, Barak Obama is not the Saviour, Barak Obama is not the Messiah, There is one God and His name one, Jesus Christ and every knee will bow that he is the Lord. You are right Bro Stan, Barak Obama will not be the demise of Israel, because God Almighty is on Israel’s side and they will overcome every terrorist, nation, man, woman, evil religion, etc. that dares to try to fight against God.
Stan - you are SO right, Israel IS the issue. I have never been able to understand why American Jews are so supportive of the democratic party that has openly embraced the PLO, and now offers a candidate with Muslim background for president. The question is not whether Israel will always be America’s friend, but IF America will continue to be Israel’s friend … if Obama is elected, both America and Israel will be unrecognizable in a short time … a democratically controlled presidence, congress, and ultimately supreme court will change the basic fabric and heart of American for the next 40-50 years - if Jesus delays His coming. If this happens, America will no longer be a democracy, but an oligarchy, a government controlled by a few for corrupt and selfish purposes. The legality of Obama’s birthright to even run for this office was spotlighted last week when the Governor of Hawaii sealed his birth certificate - if there is no bad information there, why seal it?

Once again you have written an excellent and deeply informative piece. I had already posted in response to this piece but when it went to list feed it was lost. Hopefully, someone can tell me why this happens as frequently as it does. This has also happened to another poster. Nonetheless, losing the initial piece was a good thing because it caused me to slow down and come to sharing more, but with greater briefness and clarity of thought.
Stan, you are 100% correct in stating that the ‘the issue is Israel.’ It is with convicted warning that I first state: the entertainment of witchcraft which has clearly and significantly increased in our country over the past 10 years or better, works menancingly to blind America’s eyes to the relevance and absolute importance of seeking to understand G-ds terms for the land of Israel and the Jewish people.
Indulgence in witchcraft be it non-intentional or not, seduces the mind/emotions, blinds and scars the spirit like no other lower than hell carnal element, and ransacks the very soul of a person. The Word of G-d makes this implicitly clear and does so repeatedly.
If America wants to cure this illness, it need see the supporting root and cause of the illness. In the case of America’s greater blindness concerning Israel, we cannot look past the effects witchcraft has had on the mind/hearts, spirits and souls of its countrymen, women and children.
Not coincidentally, it can be easily be said that those christian persons who have gotten on board in coming to ’see’ and love the land of Israel and the Jewish people is in due to the fact that they are renewing their hearts, spirit, souls and very lives according to the Word of G-d by the leading of the Ruach HaKodesh. Those who ’see’ have received the ‘engrafted word of G-d’ which is able to save their souls.’ But the greater whole of America has continued blindly on the ‘wide path to destruction’ and this path is more deadly now than when Messiah spoke of it. Principally speaking according to the Word of G-d, wide is the path leading to America’s destruction - narrow is the path that leads to her life. America - life is found in and by relationship with the living G-d of Israel, His Holy Word - Messiah and the The Holy Spirit.
If my inner man had seams - they would burst for all that need be expressed to this nation which is so very close to more peril and crisis than the eye of the carnal man can see. As a nation we need to ’see’ with the enlightened eyes of understanding as we are freely graced to when we receive the Word of G-d with meekness.
In your article Stan you stated that there was a comparison made between Obama and Hitler and that this was wrongfully imposed as coming forth from the Republician camp to a group of Jewish voters in Pennsylvania. The actual statement having read: ‘Jewish Americans cannot afford to make the wrong decision on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008. Many of our ancestors ignored the warning signs in the 1930s and 1940s and made a tragic mistake. Let’s not make a similar one this year!” This statement is more than appropriate and is applaudable as far as I concerned. But I take it a step further and will share that days ago I found myself likening Obama to Hitler; I make no apologies for this as I believe this was a ’spiritual insight’ which I will not ignore. I pray the Jewish communities at large pray and ponder the likenesses between Obama and Hitler which can be seen if one dares to look. And I dare America to take a first, second or as many looks as needful at Obama. Make no mistake - this election is dire - critical - and could swing our country into greater destructions than we have presently known if Obama secures the office of President of the United States of America.
You speak wisely in admonishing America to be afraid Stan. America need be afraid - they need have a watchful, wise, prayerful and healthy G-d given fear of our enemies who have so blantantly and very openly threatened to destroy our country. And this destruction, which so very menancingly looms on the horizon of our choices, is indeed fully relational to the position we take with and for Israel. Yes, you are absolutely correct in stating Stan that our country can be healed by our gracious G-d who is slow to anger and desires that no wicked man perish but rather that he/she would change and find life.
I say not G-d bless America before I say G-d help America - and America help yourself by seeking the L-rd and His knowledge and wisdom; it is He who is creator of man and knows more than qualifyingly how the true terms of life can be embraced which will lead you and protect your very souls and life.

I am sure you are aware of the tragic events that took place this past Sunday morning (actually, in the middle of the night) at the Federman and Tor homes – the smashing of their windows (reminiscent, dare I say it, of an event that took place 75 years ago) and forced entry by Israeli soldiers; the dragging of the startled, shocked children from their beds after being shaken awake; the beating of some children; the families’ forceful expulsion from their own homes; and, finally, the crushing destruction of their homes, without them even having the opportunity to take any of their personal possessions! What type of state is it that treats its citizens in such an appalling, sickening fashion!
I am a secular Jew who has supported Israel my entire adult life. This support includes 25 years of volunteer service to my local Jewish Federation (Greater Clifton-Passaic, New Jersey) as a fundraiser, officer, and Board of Trustees and Executive Committee member, as well as numerous financial contributions to the Jewish State through Federation. IT IS OVER! Until the Israeli Government publicly apologizes to the Federman and Tor families and compensates them fully for their loss and suffering, including emotional trauma, and until Mr. Olmert and Mr. Barak are criminally charged for inciting and ordering the above inhuman behavior, I will not give one more cent to the State of Israel. And I will begin to suggest to others, some with substantial resources, to consider ceasing their Federation giving and, instead, contributing directly to specific pro-Jewish Israeli causes.
Ambassador Meridor, I hope you have the moral courage to call for such immediate action.

Perhaps it will not be released pre-election or even at all. However this may go, I believe that G-d has His purposes that can and will reach beyond - though we don’t always see the details. Some may feel that putting this letter before Homeland Security is a stretch.
While I can understand that perspective, I am of the staunch belief that this organization not only has the authority to gain possession of this tape if the L.A. Times does not release it, they have a responsibility in their position to review this tape, and if necessary, preemptively take any actions needful to protect America from any possible threats in the near or distant future.

Dear Secretary Chertoff,
We are writing to you in your capacity as Secretary of Homeland Security, an office designated to its administrative constituents, to uphold the tenets contained within the terms of its organizational purpose. It is being requested by the greater American voting population, that Homeland Security, in unison workings with the F.B.I., obtain or seize if necessary, the unedited tape from the L.A. Times which reportedly alleges that - Barak Obama has close ties with Palestinian forces that work behind the smoke screen for the annihilation of the state of Israel. This positional standing in the end result works against the United States of America due to our long term commitment,. professed support and friendship to the nation of Israel .
Homeland Security in its foundational creed reads: ‘The Department of Homeland Security works to anticipate, preempt, detect and deter threats to the homeland and to safeguard our people and their freedoms, critical infrastructure, property and the economy of our nation from acts of terrorism, natural disasters and other emergencies.’ The F.B.I. wisely advises and admonishes its citizens to: ‘Report any suspected criminal or terrorist activity to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. (FBI)
Throughout his campaign, Mr. Obama has been repeatedly seen in the light of having very questionable associations with organizations, and or, persons holding leadership positions, which are anti-American and anti-Israel. A critical example of this is found in recognizing that Rashdi Khalidi, alleged to have participation in the tape in question, was a spokesperson for the PLO under Arafat when it was recognized as a terrorist organization by America.’
Bill Ayers is another associated friend of Barak Obama. Mr. Ayers clearly has previously held staunch anti-American sentiments that must not be lightly overlooked. For 20 years or so, Barak Obama was tutored by his spiritual mentor, the Rev. Wright, who also held extreme views of the United States of America . Rev. Wright has been quoted as holding near to his mind and heart the shared sentiments that America should not be ‘blessed’ but ‘damned.’ Can Americans blindly trust that Mr. Obama has not been negatively influenced by 20 years of Rev. Wrights teachings which integrated a hatred for country? We believe not!
Barak Hussein Obama, having successfully won his nominational bid for President of the United States , could in just a few short days become our next commander in chief. Now, the L.A. Times is in possession of a video tape in grave question concerning Barak Obama which they refuse to release to the American Public for fair scrutiny.
Americans have a right to evaluate this tape for themselves; they are due the respect and securities peace of mind brings when they can vote their conscience with clarity of truth and understanding concerning the candidates which - ultimately insures the constitutional legitimacy the election process need be accountable to.
More specifically, and without reservation, we state that Americans are entitled to know the truth about critical events in Barack Obama’s life that may be used to properly evaluate his candidacy. Without this opportunity, American voters will be unable to make a just and proper decision.
The L.A. Times argues that its refusal to release the tape is aligned with stating they need maintain commitment to the source by which they came into possession of this tape. However, in view of our country’s critical ongoing needs to be ‘protected from all forces of threat’ - whatever the source - the L.A. Times bears a greater loyalty to our country’s citizens rather than to one individual; it need be enforced that they honor their responsibilities and commitment to country first.
As a nation, we must not forget the loss of 3,000 lives on 9/11 at the hands of terrorists who gained accepted footholds into our communities, which in turn opened the door for them to hijack our planes and kill Americans. We cannot afford to be so blind as to not see that our diligent vigilance is required to prevent future atrocities such as 9/11 being grievously forced upon us.
It is with respect and regard that we state it is the duty of Homeland Security in unison workings with the F.B.I., to take possession of this unedited tape, if necessary, to adequately ascertain anything which would cause our country’s present and future securities to become legitimately imperiled. Once having expediently done this, we the citizens of the United States of America respectfully request its full unedited contents be released to the American Public - pre-election - for review.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.
It is SIN which causes a nation to fall. Israel has fallen many times because of sin. America may soon fall because of sin. It is about accepting Jesus as our saviour, and then obeying him. It is about loving the LORD thy God with all thy strength, mind, and heart; and soul; and loving your neighbor as yourself. Such self righteous comments I’ve seen here. It’s not about any political party, or who may or may not become president of the USA. A Christian should love Jesus and aim to follow on to know Him better and internalize the words He taught us. I’m fed up with all the fear mongering and judgments of this or that candidate. The Holy Bible tells us in II Timothy 2:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
When the nations are gathered to be judged, it will be in God’s time and by God Himself. We are not the ones who call the shots. Hysterical Christianity is not becoming to one who claims the name of Jesus as LORD.

The Democratic candidate for president in America has a reptilian agenda. His supporters have been adequately made aware of many glaring deficiencies and discrepancies in his campaign, but they don’t care. I love Habakkuk’s prayer in chapter 3 verse 2:
“Lord, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.
Renew them in our day,
In our time make them known;
In wrath remember mercy.â€
Powerful words! I find it interesting that Habakkuk recognized that if he prayed for the mighty deeds of God to be renewed and made known, he also needed to pray that the Lord, in His wrath, would remember mercy.
It is inevitable that as we pray for God to rise up and make His mighty deeds and His Name known throughout the earth, and as we pray for the spiritual restoration of Israel and for the return of the King - Yeshua ben David, the Mighty God of Israel will begin to move in astounding ways, for as He also says in Habakkuk 1:5, “Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.â€
And so I pray. And so I watch. And so I wait… For the God I serve, the Mighty Holy One of Israel, is preparing to do something in our day, that is so amazing, and so utterly astounding, that the words of Paul in Philippians 2:10 will come true before our very eyes:
“that at the name of Yeshua every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Yeshua the Messiah is Adonai, to the glory of God the Father.â€

If it may be permitted, that an ancillary view of Isaiah 60:12 might be explained this way in addition to what Brother Goodenough might offer.
Isaiah 60 is an expression of the Eternal Sovereign’s pronouncement of Israel’s preparation to meet her LORD. Looking at the first verses, 1 through 6, of Isaiah chapter 60, we read:
1) Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2) For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3)And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. 4) Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at [thy] side.
5) Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
These and the following verses up to 11 describe Israel’s build-up in these late times, to her pre-eminence in the world as Almighty God’s chosen nation coming into her own. Verse 12 describes the judgment on the opposing nation, any nation, that does not honor the WORD of the LORD by bringing themselves in subjection to His pronouncement on Israel. Jerusalem, after all is said and done, will be the throne from which Yeshua HaMashiach rules.
Isaiah 60 continues to embellish and lavish upon Israel all the kingdom blessings promised to her through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and confirmed in the Words of Yeshua, beginning with the outline described in Daniel and fleshed out in Ezekiel, to all the rest of the prophets and culminating in the Revelation to John, that son of Israel beloved of the LORD.
Noticing in verse 22 that the LORD will hasten it means that in these times, where we have every Biblical proof that we are on the threshold of destiny as Yeshua HaMashiach spoke to the disciples in Matthew 23-24, His return cannot be very long in its approach. If, as it is expected, that the election of Barack Hussein Obama, a known associate of Islamicists, will bring a punctuation point to the relationship of the United States of America to Israel, then it is closer than many dare to think: it is even at hand, knocking on the door. Those of us who desire a better presentation of America to the LORD must pray along with their vote for the McCaon Palin ticket, along with the prayer for national repentance for the sins of an unbelieving people, to annul the Supreme Court rulings taking the Bible and prayer from our youth in public forum, reversing Roe v. Wade, for setting up the abomination of same sex marriages, for so many other things. Pray hard, there is so little time left.
Now, this is being written the day before the rest of the American electorate will have cast their vote, and this may not be read by some until after that has happened. We shall have an idea then and we may expect how the LORD will carry out His WORD, either through a process of witnessing to the world that America will be spent in defense of Israel, or, worse, that America will be spent in judgment for leading the efforts in the attempts to partition and dissect Israel in contradiction to the WORD of the LORD. Either way, the Eternal Sovereign will have His satisfaction of the completion of His WORD. Either way, His Name is to be blessed forever, for His love, His truth, mercy and grace bestowed on those called by His Name to be with Him forever.
I don’t want to vote . I feel the main issue is the division of Jerusalem and McCain and Obama seem to be both in favor of a two state solution.. I am totally against dividing it and my heart is troubled because I feel if I vote I am agreeing with the two state solution.

As I read your wonderful letter, I broke out in tears of gratitude for I KNOW Yeshua has placed a spiritual hedge of protection around her and her family. When I stand before the Lord and He asks me why I voted for a man who supports dividing Israel into a Palestinian state, what shall I say to Him.
Can anyone out there persuade my niece and I otherwise?
Well…. uh… hmmm…. it was the better of two evils??? No… I think I would rather say to Him, my Lord, I didn’t vote for McCain because he clearly stated in his agenda that he has intentions to make it a top priority to divide your land and this is not acceptable under any conditions, and, in fact, it is the crux upon which judgment shall come upon nations.
I will not be parttaker of this election as much as I have wrestled with it. McCain is pro-life, and many other positive things I support, but judgment is meted out to all by whether we are a blessing or a curse to Israel. My one vote may mean little in the scheme of things, but when I stand before God, I will say, I did not vote because your Word and your Voice concerning Israel alone needs to be exalted and I will honor your Word above all else even if I appear to be unpatriotic.
Your Word for Israel is not to divide the land and You instruct me not to align myself with those who would in anyway serve to work towards that final outcome.
God is placing this most important issue of our time — Israel — before one and all and this is not by chance. Most people will be voting their wallet, some pro-life issues, some a very liberal agenda, but many are blind to that which is most sacred to God — Israel. God would not have us believers ignorant at this crucial time, God’s priority above all else is Israel, and it is only when she is also our priority as well, that God’s true blessings will unfold for our nation or any nation (individuals as well).
All those who subvert the mandate of God because they reasoned without the light of God’s Word will be judged accordingly.

Standing in agreement with you as unpatriotic as it may appear. Thank G-d He does not judge by appearance, but He rather looks at the heart. Man of course as scripture teaches, does the exact opposite.
In an odd twist and as I see it, my country has tied my hands so to speak in being able to cast a vote because we as a Gov’t have supported a two state solution as do McCain and Palin.
As I more or less said in my post on this site earlier (but somehow that post just sort of disappeared after you put your post in - odd…) to cast a vote for any canidate who supports and pushes a two state solution is to cast a vote against the L-rd’s long ago decided choice for Israel and her land of inheritance.
