How can I keep this alive in me,
This death, this horror:
By saturating my soul with
Their pain?
Immersing myself in the black hole of
Their agony?
So that my pen, my tongue
Is driven by the stark and tearing images of
Their suffering,
So that my dreams overflow with
Their torture
And my waking hours deeply breathe the aroma of
Their sacrifice,
That truly I may never forget
And move others never to forget
Too?
[Written after making my way through the long tunnel of suffering depicted at the new Yad Vashem memorial]
such powerful poetry… this evokes more than just emotion and tears…but empathy and compassion…and action! to NEVER EVER FORGET! Indeed, we all need to RISE up and scream it from every roof top as loudly as we can!
Having been through Yad Vashem a few years ago, you expressed the feelings of horror and sadness that I felt at that time.

Your deeply sensitive and touching words indicate
that G-D BLESSED .BE HE. has given you a beautiful soul!
They are a beacon of light in the darkness which is
descending upon the Jewish people as anti-Semitsim .
once again rears its ugly head.

In the masterful book, “Thy Brother’s Blood” by Malcolm HAY, there is a forward by Franklin Littel, a righteous gentile like yourself .
He wrote: ‘If Ch.ristians truly understood the HOLOCAUST,
they would mourn it more than the Jews:!
The truest way to Remember the 6,000,000
martyred Jews of the SHOAH, is a strong and secure State of
Israel which is governed by TORAH LAW.

All will be revealed someday soon. AMEN
I can do nothing but pray for the horror to end that which has resulted in their quest to be a free people in a world free of anti-semitism and hate, and pray I will to the G-d that created a people called by His name. Shalom, HaShem
Peres: ‘I Believe but Cannot Understand’
(IsraelNN.com) “I have been a believer all my life, but that doesn’t help me to understand” the Holocaust, President Shimon Peres said in the opening address at the Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day Wednesday night. He added that he cannot comprehend “what happened [and] how young, educated Germans could aim their rifles at a pregnant woman, shoot her in cold blood, rip the hair off her head, pull out her teeth and then go away to eat and rest, only to return and shoot a day-old baby. Nothing has the power to drown out the cries of babies shot in cold blood.”
The President asked rhetorically, “How could it happen, I ask myself, that an entire nation could elect a madman, prostrate itself before his sadism and demagoguery, give him the title of Chancellor and shower him with acclaim?… I find it hard to understand how other countries stood by, blinded and paralyzed in the face of this viper. Some of them even signed agreements with the Devil himself, joined his ranks and fought in his armies.”
Seems to me you just explained it very well, and it is very prophetic also.
The horrors that man inflicts on man is beyond human understanding because it starts with the Father of Lies, Satan, and infects the hearts and wills of people who will not listen to the Prince of Peace. The fact that the Iranian leader is even now still threatening to obliterate Israel is proof that the ‘old serpent’ is still working his malice in men. May the great Day of the Lord come quickly, when he shall be sent forever to the lake of fire, never again to corrupt the hearts of people. In the meanwhile we ALL must speak out for the people of Israel, for her blessing and health, her safety and growth so the world will know there can be no second time without the voices of millions of believers crying out to the Father Almighty for His beloved people.

I went to Israel last year and visited the Yad Vaschem also. Stan has captured as close as I think possible the feelings I had there.
Truly heart wrentching.
THe other night I was watching the PBS station and they was showing about the holocaust and all I did was cry , then these two young men escaped to tell the world, they hide in a wood pile for three days and three nights, if they was caught they would be hung, but they was not caught and they did make it to the border and tell the world about what was going on. does this sound familiar? how about the two witness, in Zechariah 4:11-13 and YESHAUA that was in the earth three days and three nights, this sent chills up my spine, when I saw that.
