Your time is running out

Posted on Thursday 13 March 2008

So, United States’ Middle East “peace progress monitor” General William Fraser is set to conduct a meeting Friday at which an assessment will be made of how Israel and the so-called Palestinians are implementing the first stage in the Quartet’s “Road Map.”

In this first stage, Israel is meant to halt all building or expanding of Jewish communities in Samaria and Judea, dismantle so-called illegal outposts and remove security checkpoints in those central parts of its historic homeland so as to “ease life” for the Arabs in the areas under Palestinian  Authority (PA) control.

For its part, the PA is to have clamped down on terrorism and violence against Israelis by arresting terrorists and destroying their infrastructure.

Both parties agreed at the Annapolis Conference last November to start work on implementing their commitments.

More seriously Israel, under immense pressure from US President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, agreed to grant the US the right to judge Israel’s performance and coerce the Jewish state into complying with Washington’s - and the world’s - expectations.

In the months since then, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert issued instructions to his cabinet that he alone may authorize any new work on the “settlements.”

But on the “Palestinian” side the terrorism only intensified, with PA/PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas (as was always the case with his predecessor, Yasser Arafat) either powerless to stop it (which means he is no partner for any kind of agreement) or - as some suspect - himself giving the green light to the Gaza rocket squads to fire their missiles.

Last Thursday saw a “Palestinian” massacre eight students in a terrorist attack on a Jerusalem yeshiva. Abbas publicly “condemned” the act, but his official newspaper lauded the killer as an Islamic martyr.

In response to this bloodshed, members of Olmert’s coalition pressed the prime minister to make some concessions to allow for “settlement” expansion if he did not want them to leave the government and bring it down.

And now it is Israel that is likely to get a rough ride from Fraser on Friday, according to an unnamed senior Israeli official cited in Ha’aretz Thursday.

“Real tension” has developed between Israel and the USA, the official said, warning that the Olmert government will find itself in “big trouble” if there are no steps on the ground to stop building Jewish communities in the biblical heartland of Israel.

“The expectation is that [Fraser's] report will be bad for Israel, with an emphasis on expansion of the settlements, not dismantling the outposts, and not removing roadblocks,” he added.

Meanwhile, Washington’s security envoy, James Jones, is in Israel where he is “drawing up a security plan for the day after any future Israeli withdrawal from parts of the West Bank [sic].”

As far as the United States is concerned and resolved, that withdrawal will take place, Jewish lands will be abandoned and will be made, along with Gaza, into a Muslim Arab state called Palestine.

I’d like to see what you would do, President Bush, if you were confronted with a situation comparable to the one staring Israel in the face.

I wonder what you would do, from your secure position in the capital of your enormous and powerful country, and what you would command your armed forces to do, if rockets were being fired, say from Mexico or Canada, or even Venezuela, on American civilians in any town or city in the United States.

What would you do if the Mexicans or the Canadians threatened to keep on firing rockets and carrying out other forms of terrorism unless the USA stopped expanding its urban areas, ethnically cleansed them of American citizens, and relinquished pieces of territory either of these countries claimed as their own?

What would you tell the United Nations to do, or the European Union or Russia, China, the Vatican - what would you tell them to do if they tried to pressure you into sitting and discussing things with the people responsible for terrorising, maiming and killing Americans?

What would you do if, to push forward his anti-USA cause, a terrorist attacked a seminary in your country, mowing down students as they studied the Bible?

How hypocritical can you be? How unjust? And how unrighteous??

And talking about the United Nations:

That august organization’s Special Rapporteur [shamefully, a fellow South African - Ed] has just released a report in which he draws a “distinction” between “acts of mindless terror” and “acts committed in the course of a war of national liberation” - referring “Palestinian” acts of terrror.

In the words of United Nations Watch: “A recent UN report to the Human Rights Council by UN Special Rapporteur John Dugard disregards international legal standards against terrorism and excuses the killing of innocents. … [The report] inevitability absolves Palestinian terrorists from moral responsibility for their murderous acts.  It alleges they have no choice but to kill Israelis – whether blowing up men, women and children in restaurants or on buses on the way to school or at synagogue, work or play.”

In case anyone still sees a distinction between the UN Human Rights Council, its General Assembly and its Security Council: Last week the latter became as pathetically laughable as the rest of them when it failed to secure the condemnation of the cold-blooded yeshiva murder of seven Jewish boys and a man.

These headlines today have me fuming. Mad. How can Israel stand against these nations - these overwhelming numbers?

But you know what? You’re all going to lose. You cannot consistently adopt this position against Israel, against what’s just and what’s true and think you’ll get away with it. There is a day of reckoning coming, a day when the Son of David is going to go to war against all of you, and nothing you have in your arsenal, nothing, will be able to save you from defeat, destruction and damnation.

Your time is running out world. Yes, even your time, America. Keep going the way you are. Abuse and condemn and misjudge and squeeze and take risks with Israel’s security. In short, do your worst. Bring it on, and see what happens to you.

Soon all mankind is going to hear a sound; a sound like thunder. Except that it won’t be thunder. It’ll be fury; a roar. The roar of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (yes, He is a Jew).

He is coming and you, nations of the world, you’re going to lose. You’re going to lose big time.

Let me start by apologizing for what we, the American people, are doing to Israel. I am deeply crying out on behalf of the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, and the Son of David that Americans would wake up, and that our Political authorities would wake up and see what is happening and see that there’s a bigger picture. I almost fear what’s to come if things continue the way they are. I constantly Pray that Our Lord would bring peace to Israel, That He would lead the hearts of the Arabs to Him and they would see the Love He has for them. I pray that God would continue to protect you and speak to you and comfort your hearts. Be blessed in Yeshua,

“….and there before me was a door standing open in heaven….Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, ‘Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?’ But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep! See, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.’….Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?’” - Revelation 4:1a ; 5:1-5; 6:15-17

I am an American and for the past several months have increasingly studied Bible prophecy. I will state it plainly. If any american cannot see that God is beginning to judge us for our actions within our borders (moral decay, greed, idolatry, etc.) and those without ( outsourcing jobs, sweat factories, killing to set up world corporations like halliburton) but especially…AND i MEAN ESPECIALLY…turning our backs on Israel…than we deserve the the judgement that is coming to us…I hope God is merciful to allow the rapture to happen before than…but if i am wrong than we ALL deserve the judgement for not standing not only with the jews…but especially with God….I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. (Genesis 12:3)

Great article. Great comments. May God be merciful to all His children in all the nations standing against Israel. Payday is someday and I believe that that someday is today. May God lift the blindness off of Israel’s leaders to see what He would have them to do to protect their nation. May God have mercy on the liberal Jews who have despised their heritage and draw them to their Torah and repentance. As for me, I look continuously for our Lord’s soon return. Father, prosper all those who love Israel and pray daily for Jerusalem’s peace.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I am ashamed to say that my country has failed Israel miserably. Israel’s leaders are also failing Israel and I pray daily that God would rise up leaders that would have His interest at heart. I grieve for the people of Sderot and Ashkelon. One only has to look at what the US did after 9-11 to know that we would not stand by and allow our citizens to be terrorized. We took the war on terror to them and we did it swiftly. Israel should have that same right. I know that our redemption draweth nigh and I pray for God’s mercy over America.

Britain is one of the nations coming against Jerusalem. See photos of the big storm this week in the UK at this link.

I feel sad and vexed about the present situation in Israel. As I see it, Ehud Barak; Ehud Olmert and that woman Livni have almost sold out Israel and the Jewish people into the hands of the arab enemies, a vicious and loathing people who have offered the world nothing but evil…… I feel it fair to include that woman Rice and her companion Bush. They have a lot of Saudi dollars to earn by forcing Israel into a suicidal mission. I pray that israel will stand strong. Bush obviously wants to give up his tenure as President with a feather in his cap. What better way to do it than to sell out Israel to the enemy. But I say to Israel, “WAIT ON THE LORD; BE OF GOOD COURAGE, AND HE SHALL STRENGHEN YOUR HEART; WAIT, I SAY ON THE LORD.” (Psa.27:14.

You tell it Stan! Keep up the excellent writing!
Last week I wrote to the two Oregon senators about Abbas’ two faced ideology condemning the Yeshiva attack and praising the terrorist as a shahid. As usual, and as I expected….no response. They hide their heads in the sand and continue on with their lifestyles of pandering to whatever the latest sinful whims of their constituents may be.

So many told me that only the countries around Israel will attack. the fact is reading both parts of Ezekiel, the ones around it will, Saudi, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Seria. and that is when we will see Damascus blow forever. which will get the respect for awhile of all nations.and then Israel will feel safe, take down the walls, become very wealthy and be excepted by all, and that is when evil Russia will bring all Persia against Her. that is what I see soon, It is also when the Lion of Judea will come and destroy them all , even to chase them home and kill them , their women and children and ox..Payday is right around the corner..Come quickly Messiah..Israel is His heart and mine forever !!

This is the reason why God will return to earth to restore His Kingdom, not man’s kingdom, God’s Kingdom.

The dark and cold spirits of hell (hatred, division, unforgiveness, etc.) has been released and we see its formation (pardoning terrorists, dividing Y’srael, globalizing, etc.). We cannot pardon people who loathe us. When we do, they continue their hatred and teach it to a new generation. War is absolutely imminent.

King David taught us a lesson. Have we learned it yet?

About time we all got mad, Stan! Fuming mad! And then allow that fury to move us into letting our voices be heard by those responsible for this wickedness. Why do we as believers always see ourselves as powerless to stand up against evil? Are we afraid of persecution? Consider the behaviour of believers at the time of the nazi atrocities against the Jews. The number of those who rose up on behalf of the Jews can be counted on one’s fingers. Will it be a repeat performance? There is SO much we can do. Let’s ask the Spirit of God to motivate us, direct us and empower us to go into battle with Him.
Yes, we know the end of the story. Yes, we know Who will win. But let’s remember what the LION had to say while He was here:
Inasmuch as you did it for the least of these MY BRETHREN, you did it for Me.
I want to hear that commendation. How about you?
Oh, may I just gently say to Michael Leo:
Israel has already borne her punishment - that is why her LORD is regathering her. It is the redemption of Israel that is near, Michael. Read the Word:
“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God, “Speak comfort to Jerusalem and cry out to her that her warfare is ended; that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the LORD’s hand, double for all her sins.” (Is.40;1,2) Isaiah. 35 ends with the redeemed returning to Zion, which is happening now, as we know; then there is an interlude which covers the attack by Assyria during Hezekiah’s reign. At Isaiah. 50 the prophet picks up again the prophecy of Zion returning, and it is then that we are commanded to speak comfort to her. In other words, right now.
Bless you all for your love for Israel.

Thank you for continuing to bring the reality of the pressure Israel is experiencing at the hands of it’s enemies (Iran, Gaza etc.) and it’s friends (America, Britain etc.) before the world. Whether our American leaders can find the courage and integrity to support Israel in her fight to exist only time will tell. I think Israel might get more worldwide respect if she can get courageous and capable leadership who is willing to spit in the world’s eye and take on her vile neighbors without regard to their whining about “proportional and excessive use of force”. It’s a war.

Stan, thanks for the great article. It appears that Psalm 83 is about to be fulfilled before our very eyes. The enemies of Israel are poised for war. The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob does not sleep nor slumber when it comes to his people. All nations including the U. S. are now against her. The is what the bible shows will happen. Yet the world still is in sleep mood. They are clueless about what is about to happen. We need to continue to pray Psalm 83 as a prayer for Israel. Lord Have Mercy. COME LORD JESUS.

it is probably a valid statement that the blessing of God on America is being lifted as we, as a nation, turn our backs on Him. It is not, I believe, that different of a situation from what the nation of Isreal is experiencing there in their own right. That being said I think we could say that what America has already done for them has had a lot to do with the reality that Israel is in a position to defend itself. I would also say that Israel’s rejection of the Saviour has more to do with their current plight than anything any of their friends or enemies has done to them. The history of Israel is filled with accounts of how God allowed thier enemies to overcome them when they forgot their God. When they remembered Him, He fought for them and they overcame thier adversaries. I would love to see the same concern for the spiritual health & strength of Israel (and the United States) as we do for the natural and physical health and strength of both our countries. I love Israel and feel like I am a member of that family. We worship the same God but let’s not pretend that we have no difference when it comes to the Saviour and King. I hope America does not completely lose it bearing as a Godly nation because if we join Israel’s enemies we will die with them when Israel returns to thier God. And they will.

After I went to bed last night, all I could do is keep thinking about this article of yours Stan. I know that most everyone who reads this page already knows our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…but if you don’t….and you are an American…please realize what is happening here. We are reaping the whirlwind…oil prices up…gold up…food prices up and scarcity predicted for the future….the dollar way down, the banks on the verge of collapse…God is bringing judgement upon us for our actions…Olmert, Barak and Livini are, from most of the articles I have read across the internet, just doing whatever Bush and Rice tell them to do….and what we are telling them to do is to give up the land that God gave to the decendents of Abraham. If you study history, or even the Bible, you will see every great empire that supported the Jews prosper under God…when those nations pulled their support away…they faltered and either disolved completely or became secon rate powers. That is why Genesis 12:3 is so important….Our nation…not our Christian brothers who support the jews…but our SECULAR nation has turned its back on Israel….we reap the whirlwind

Putting aside the Bible and the passages related to Israel in the last days.
There is the issue of basic common sense justice. Why is the World blind to the threat posed by radical Islam and the justified response by a Democratic State such as Israel? Islam stated purpose through the Koran is to destroy the Jew and dominate the world. Islam’s history is one of violence and conquest. You can not negotiate with people who believe their god is guiding them to this violence.
Why is the west blind to the threat and the injustice toward Israel. Only willful blindness or a spiritual influence on the part of the forces of darkness.
    Pray for Israel’s safety.
Pray the leaders in the west will recognize their folly.

As an American, I’m ashamed of the stance we are taking toward Israel. Our leaders just don’t understand Genesis 12:3. I also suspect there is a little matter of looking to their own legacy. But as a student of Bible prophecy, I am not surprised by anything happening today. God is bringing history as we know it to an end. We don’t know His timing, but we can see the signs of the soon arrival of Daniel’s 70th week taking shape daily. As the USA, the last nation still supporting Israel continues to back away from that friendship the conditions of Zechariah 12-14 will be upon the world. Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39 will become imminent possibilities.
I pray that God will watch over His people, Israel, showing them He has not abrogated the eternal covenant He mad with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Ultimately, God will call Israel as well as all Gentiles through the 144,000 witnesses (12,000 from each of the twelve tribes) to believe in the Lamb who alone is worthy. May all who hear their message turn to God’s salvation.
In the meantime, let’s continue the pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6

America was attacked on 9/11/01. What did Bush do? He went to New York for a photo op with those brave firemen, as if he deserved some credit. He then declared he was going after Bin Laden and off the troops went to Afghanistan. No Bin Laden has been found to this day. He then concocted a plan to invade Iraq, so his buddies could make lots of money on the war. “Shock and awe” as we were strutting to the world our capacity to kill people. Who were those human beings taking that beating from the sky? Human beings…just push a button and kill from a distance. I can rightly understand your anger for Bush as I have been angry with him since he ran for president. Arrogant, phony Christian, and I would even go so far as to say anti-semitic. My anger is real. I cannot even stand to look at him or hear him on television. “Vengeance is mine, I will repay sayeth the LORD.” It is all in God’s hands, not mine. I am waiting for God’s time of wrath on the world. Matthew 25:31-46

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats:And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

It is refreshing to see that their are Christians out there who get it, and are awake like watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem. It saddens me how most are asleep and indifferent. Bush makes me really upset too. It couldn’t be clearer in our day what is right and what is wrong.

We are clearly headed down the wrong path as a country. I believe that their will be a short lived false peace when the EU steps in and forces peace. The book of Ezekiel makes it clear that before
the coming of the Gog Magog war led by Russia that Israel will
be living in a short time of peace where they are living
    in prosperity and unwalled villages.

That time is coming. Let us get the word out to people when they
are saying “Peace and Safety”, that it is deception and that
they should open their eyes that the enemy is right on the
    door step.

Our true peace is coming. Jesus the Prince of Peace, The Lord of Lord, and the KING of all the earth.

    SHALL PROSPER (Joel Chernoff)

    NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU
SHALL PROSPER (Lyrics - Joel Chernoff)

For though the Nations rage against you,

    Oh Jerusalem,

Know this, that the Lord your God is with you,

For does not the Prophet Isaiah say:

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

So I say unto you, Fear not oh Jerusalem,

Fear not Tel-Aviv, Fear not Haifa and Tiberias,

    Fear not Son’s of David,

For the Lord your God is with you.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

    Thus saith the Lord.

Rise up all you Son’s of Jacob,

Rise up all you Cities of Judah,

Rise up, for the Lord your God,

    Is fighting for you.

Stand up, for the God of Israel,

Stand up, for the Son of David,

Stand up, for the King of Kings,

    Is standing with you.

    Fear not Son’s of Israel,

    Fear not people of God,

For it’s not by might, nor by power,

But by my Spirit says the Lord.

For do you not know? Have you not heard?

That HE who is in you,

Is greater than he who is in the world.

For the battle is the Lord’s.

    Fear not Son’s of David,

    The battle is the Lord’s,

For it is not by might, nor by power,

But by my Spirit says the Lord.

Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. Zep. 3:19…The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. Isaiah 2:11

Greg, our nation is represented by our President. If our President blesses Israel, we are blessed. If he despises Israel, as Bush truly does, then God despises us as a nation. One of the curses that happens to a nation for disobeying the universal law of blessing Abraham’s descendents through Isaac is that enemies will dwell among the citizens of that nation. That is happening in America now, undeniably, with terrorists camps all over our land. Even prosperity is a curse because it leads one away from God. I could go on. Yes, many in our nation supports Israel, and our government ,too, But our govornment also arms Fatah and others who are enemies of Israel. Only God knows if they do this intentionally or not. Our nation as a whole needs to repent. Perhaps God will relent from further judgements against us.

KarenMarie, thank you for posting the words of Joel Chernoff. My heart thrills every time I hear him speak them forth. There is such power in them - power to the breaking down of enemy strongholds! Guess which CD I will be listening to tomorrow morning?

Thank you,Stan. I pray for you and thank all those who post . Most can say much more than I can and say it so much better. I have no great power .But the Great God of Israel does hear my Daily Prayers and there was such a positive being in the Prayers today. I am so sorry for the actions of the U.S.A. and our Government
and pray that God will hear my repentence for our Land. I can do no more but to Fast and Pray. Know that He can and does. And thanks to Emmie.

“No weapon formed against you (Israel) shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you (Israel) shall condemn, this is the heritage of the servants of THE LORD, and their righteousness is from ME, Sayeth :……..
    ……….THE LORD.”
    Isaiah 54:17

God will once again rise up as in the day of battle. He will fight for Israel and against all nations that have risen up against her. This time or season is to see which side we are really on. Is oil, our economy more important than God’s stated goal regarding Israel? Are His priorities more important than the United States’ priorities? We are being weighed in the balances as a nation and are found wanting. We do not know Who we are messing with. To put it bluntly; there is going to be hell to pay. We can try to batten down the hatches, but He will only blow the doors off. mtzion@hughes.net
