Those of us who care about the future of Israel, and indeed could sometimes perhaps be forgiven for wondering whether Israel even has a future [though I have no doubt she does – Ed] might do well to take note of what happened in Europe this week, when the southern province of Serbia declared independence, with the blessing of many other nations, including the United States, but against the wishes of the Serbs themselves.
“Welcome to Europe’s newest country,” rejoiced a BBC World television reporter in the “capital” PriÅ¡tina, a few minutes after Kosovo’s parliament had announced their “country’s” independence.
Kosovo has never been an independent state. And protesting Serbs rioted in the real capital, Belgrade, with one telling journalists Serbia “will never accept the creation of a new state inside our land.”
But for the BBC, with its massive global reach, these things were irrelevant and would not reverse the “new reality.”
Kosovo’s “prime minister” would soon be addressing “the new nation,” declared the organization emphatically, and the European Union would move quickly top establish a mission there in order to help strengthen Kosovo’s institutions.
In short, neither historical facts nor national objection were going to get in the way of this nation being recognized by most the world and as soon as possible welcomed as their newest member by the international community.
Indeed, the United States and United Kingdom were among those nations that leaped to recognize Kosovo.
And Monday saw the Organization of the Islamic Conference welcoming the development excited, according to a Reuters report, about this new country that “would be an asset to the Muslim world.”
In a The Jerusalem Post feature on Kosovo’s tiny Jewish community Tuesday, members of the just 50-strong community expressed uncertainty about their future and said antisemitism had begin to manifest itself with the deployment in the area of Saudi Arabia-run charities.
Israel has decided to adopt a ‘wait and see’ attitude and will not recognize Kosovo “for now.”
For its part, Russia fiercely opposes Kosovo’s independence, and has threatened to respond, albeit not militarily.
Russia’s rejection is the only thing that prevents the United Nations from welcoming Kosovo as its newest member state. But for that, all opposition to this theft of Serbia’s land would have already disappeared, making it a fait accompli.
Meanwhile, Serbia’s Prime Minister Vojislav KoÅ¡tunica excoriated the US for being “ready to violate the international order for its own military interests.
“Today, this policy of force thinks that it has triumphed by establishing a false state [but] as long as the Serb people exist, Kosovo will be Serbia,” he declared.
Serbia’s Minister for Kosovo complained that a “new country is being established by breach of international law,” and added: “It’s better to call it a fake country.”
As it has gone with Kosovo, will it go with Palestine? Very likely, with just this one difference:
Not a single nation on earth opposes the creation of that fake country on ancient Jewish lands. Within minutes of its declaration of independence (God forbid) the United Nations will welcome it into the fold.
Jewish protestations against this looming event have long begun to fade. Virtually lost are the voices of the few, God-fearing men, women and young people who still reject and speak out against what the world wants to do with their land.
Few, maybe. But they, and all those who stand with them, can claim these promises:
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him ,
And delivers them. (Psalm 34:7)
Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him ,
That glory may dwell in our land. (Psalm 85:9)
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him ;
He also will hear their cry and save them. (Psalm 145:19)
The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him ,
In those who hope in His mercy. (Psalm 147:11)
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him ,
And He will show them His covenant. (Psalm 25:14)
Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him ,
On those who hope in His mercy (Psalm 33:18)
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him (Psalm 103:11)
Stan-
I needed to hear these things today. I’m printing of these promises and placing them on the wall next to my desk. Keep your head up, as well. Certainly there are more of us than we suppose. Thank you. ch
Hello Stan: No doubt they want to rename ISRAEL, by the bogus name of “palistine,” among other things. But what seemingly is working in Kosovo, lacks the perspective of Biblical insight, and knowledge of The Living God of ISRAEL. When they start contending with ISRAEL, they start contending with God, The Creator of all things, and protector of His chosen people ISRAEL. Davidek
Shalom&blessings Stan. Thank you for your precious Zionist Messianic heart. Thank you for always applying the two-edged sword, piercing Word to the nations lies and deception so skillfully…..the chosen Scriptures express Elohim’s purposes perfectly. Their plans for two states will reap their own destruction and sorrow. Yes, it means much pain for Israel but they will not escape His punishment. Even now, graciously He warns with horrific weather/economic catastrophes and more…..but they won’t listen. May more repent and listen while it is still called ‘today.’ Be blessed, Ann C
And so another warning from Heaven rings out. But who’s listening?
Not George Bush - he’s too absorbed in creating his Legacy as the great ME Peacemaker.
Not Israel’s political and military leaders - they’re too involved with powergrabbing and infighting.
Not the Christian church - she’s too concerned with building her own Promised Land, occupying the promises given by God to Israel.
So then, who is listening?
Anyone?
Really listening?
Yes, Emmie. There is someone listening. I am listening - really listening! And I realize that may not count for much, but there is SOMEONE else who is also listening, so be encouraged! It is the GREAT I AM who listens - really listens! Praise His Holy Name! He is the ONE who warns, and He is also the ONE who listens. He watches and listens to see if our hearts remain faithful to the truth; to see if we continue to proclaim and stand on the truth. And each and every time Stan posts truth, and each and every time we stand up and are counted with Stan in this truth, the heart of our Heavenly Father - the Holy One of Israel - is filled with great joy!
Having said this - I do hear what you are saying. It seems most everyone walking this earth is walking around in some kind of cotton gauze fog which keeps their eyes from seeing and their ears from hearing the loud warnings which are coming with increasing regularity from the hand of YHWH. And how indeed, does one wake up the sleeping church?? A church that is so content to be asleep? I’m not sure, but I do know this - WE KEEP PROCLAIMING THE TRUTH, BECAUSE SOMEONE IS LISTENING! And know this - the church may be asleep - BUT THE BRIDE IS AWAKE! AND THE BRIDEGROOM KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! HALLELUJAH! HE IS COMING!
Greetings: Not having commented for some time, it is interesting that at the same time Gaza and Lebanon are foaming at the bit (Lebanon-because the death of their long-time assassin Mugniyeh has stirred their passions even further) and fomenting evil thoughts as they try to plan their next move against Israel, do we see a possible prototype for a plan of action that could give an edge to the enemies of Israel as they seek to dislodge the Jewish population from the land?
Do we see Nasrallah or Mashaal using some diplomatic model to exercise their hatred against Israel? No, because after all is said and done, they hope to have the blood of every Jewish person on their hands as proof of their beliefs in an Islamic victory in order to be true to their ideology.
Kosovo will not be a model of the ‘Palestinian’ overthrow of Israel. But more on the terms of the Iranian general who vowed to remove the cancer that he perceives Israel to be, an invasion started on the premise similar to the Lebanese incursion of 2006, with UN sponsored intervention against Israel for being perceived as an ‘aggressor’ (when in reality she is defending her sovereignty) is more likely to be the case, the method tried and declared a success by Winograd political standards and sensibilities.
Blackened head scarves and standards held high, the only method understood by the Hizbollah and Hamas, neither of whom perceive the ‘Palestinian’ cause as more than a foil to their real efforts, are preparing to engage themselves to wrest the land from Israel, to prove to the world once and for all that Islam is to rule from Jerusalem and all shall fall before them. Too bad, for as any who know the true Eternal Sovereign of Israel, they have not a chance in hell to over rule the L–D when He says “And I have put My words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.” Isaiah 51
Just thought I’d add a few more “Fear of God scriptures to the list!.
Job.28:28 ” And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding”.
Isa.33:6 “And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure”.
Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding”.
Psalms 111:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth forever”
Tell it, JAN! I am listening too….but the one that really counts is–Yes, the great I AM! Thanks, Jan.
Aw….Come-on Emmie. Take heart and a step in Faith. Remember Elijah..? In his escape from the dreaded ‘Jezebel’ (Queen-wife to Israel’s godless king, King Ahab), Elijah mistakenly believed he was the ’sole’ believer of the Israelite’s God at the time. Elijah even requested death to end his self-created and imposed ‘ostracized’ feelings. God promptly reminded Elijah that thousands of Israelite faithfuls had not ‘bowed to Jezebel’s idols’. Take heart Emmie, .
While it seems that Kosovo is a ‘foretaste’ of Palestine….and I agree, it seems no-one is listening, God will once again assemble all the World on a typical Mount Carmel…and utterly demonstrate his power for all the earth to see…Always remember; God has clearly and constantly declared; “I Am the Lord God, and all the earth will know”. The knowledge of the Living God has No Escape for the ignorant and non-listeners. All those who embrace and preside over this ‘land-theft’ from Israel, will no doubt be accountable, for…it has been ‘written’ by the One who has declared it, and those words will never pass away….listening or not.
Cheers Always,
Johnny OzCare

Thank you Stan!
Thank you Jan.
I am so thankful to God that I live in a time when there’s an Israel. But I pray that I do not live to see the day if/when there’s a “Palestine.”
I’m glad there are some that are listening. God is listening I am sure of that. We will Stand with Him because He is the Supreme Power. We are listening for His Word to come forth. Thank you Stan and all the others who are Standing with Israel. Watch and Pray. And fasting helps.
Thanks, Stan!
Javier Solana, the fellow on the left in the picture, has basically coordinated this whole affair, if you follow the trails. He holds great sway over world leaders, is considered “the face and voice of Europe” and is likely to assume even more power. He is largely responsible for the confirmation and strengthening of the 7 year EU peace plan between the Mediterranian/Middle East nations, incuding Israel, which started taking effect Jan.1, 2007. He had been working on that plan since 1995, but finally got all 27 nations which were involved to sign the plan in late Nov., 2006. All participating nations are up for a mid-term review, and will lose financial and other benefits if found not complying. His mother and grandfather had direct ties to those with Theosophical beliefs and it appears that he as, well, at least sympathizes with its supporters. I would not be a bit suprised if we see him involved with the official internationalization of Jerusalem. I read an excellent article by another Messianic who pointed out that for Orthodox Jews, the whole Temple Mount area is considered the Holy Place, therefore, I don’t believe that a third Temple needs to be constructed in order for the prophecy to be fulfilled about the abomination of desolation standing in the place he shouldn’t, especially since I don’t see a third Temple construction specifically mentioned in Scripture. With the new pope having come out about a year ago and making a public statement that the new world religion needs to be humanism, along with several Hindu and Buddhist beliefs and practices making deep inroads into Christian churches, so many prophecies are being fulfilled so quickly about the end times, we should “lift up our heads and rejoice, for our Redemption draws near”! (^: \o/
Sorry, I failed to mention that the picture with Javier Solana which I referred to was on the For Zion’s Sake newsletter today. FZS is an outreach of Calvary Chapel in Jerusalem and they posted your article. God bless and take care.
“He Who planted the ear, shall He not hear?” Yes, indeed, Jan.
Psalm 94, from which this Scripture comes, makes for very interesting reading in the present situation. Check it out.
The question that was plaguing me was not that He does not hear, but that those who really SHOULD be hearing, are also strangely deaf. They “keep on hearing but do not understand,” Isaiah 6:9.
“Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel….
Stir up Your strength, and come and save us!
…
Our enemies laugh among themselves.
…
You have brought a vine out of Egypt,
You have cast out the nations and planted it.
…
It filled the Land.
…
The wild beast of the field devours it.
…
Return, we beseech You, O God of Hosts…
And visit this vine.
…
Revive us and we will call upon Your Name.
Restore us, O LORD God of Hosts,
Cause Your face to shine,
And we will be saved.” Ps. 80
Blessings on all of you who have heard, and who stand with God and with Israel.
Hey Emmie! Not to worry! I really did hear what you were saying, and I completely agree. It’s exactly as you have said. Those who SHOULD be hearing are indeed strangely deaf - frighteningly so! And your three questions are entirely valid:
“So then, who is listening?”
“Anyone?”
“Really listening? ”
My heart asks these same questions.
Bless you!
Jan
Re: Celia’s entry. There already two abominations standing on the Temple Mt. These are the two muslim mosques built to worship a pagan, alien god, allah. This muslim god is not the same as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob — the Great I AM.
Read Isaiah chapter two, verses two and three. It refers to a Temple built in “the last days” . When do you suppose that is? Will it be built BEFORE Messiah returns? OR, will it be built AFTER Messiah returns? You research that.
Kosovo is not on an equal footing with Israel. There is just no comparison. And the “last days” are in the keeping of the hands of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Moll, a messianic gentile
re: Moll’s entry. I just read the verses, but also before and after them, so that I would be following the context. It reads to me, that this temple will be the Lord Himself during the Millenial reign. Doctrine must have at least several specific verses to be considered possibly valid, another reason why I don’t necessarily subscribe to a pre-Trib rapture, although I firmly believe the Rapture will take place, and that belivers are not destined for God’s wrath, but for His discipline and refinement. God bless and take care. (^:
We are listening! Thank you, Stan, for standing in The Truth of The WORD, for strengthening us, “[t]herefore, [to] take up the whole armor of God, that [we] may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” together (Eph 6:13)
Leslee had an experience this weekend - the virgin prepared with oil - and only because of obedience to the Holy Spirit. (see Mat 25) The remnant bride must stand ready, for Yeshua said “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” (Mat 24:36)
And thank you, Celia and Moll, for food for thought, so similar to the food Stan offered in Nov 2006 and Jan 2007 (the What I Do and Don’t Believe posts)
And regarding John W’s statement that “all the world will know” may we be strengthened by these verses:
“for at this time I will send all My plagues to your very heart, and on your servants and on your people, that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth. (Exo 9:14)
“that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the L-RD, that it is mighty, that you may fear the L-RD your G-d forever.” (Jos 4:24)
“Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the L-RD your G-d spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed. (Jos 23:14)
“This day the L-RD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a G-d in Israel. (1Sa 17:46)
“hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this temple which I have built is called by Your name. (1Ki 8:43, 2Ch 6:33)
“that all the peoples of the earth may know that the L-RD is G-d; there is no other. (1Ki 8:60)
And he returned to the man of G-d, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is no G-d in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.” (2Ki 5:15)
“Now therefore, O L-RD our G-d, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the L-RD G-d, You alone.” (2Ki 19:19)
That they may know that You, whose name alone is the L-RD, Are the Most High over all the earth. (Psa 83:18)
“Now therefore, O L-RD our G-d, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the L-RD, You alone.” (Isa 37:20)
Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? (Pro 30:4)
DECLARE HIS NAME and HISs SON’S NAME! Amein v’amein!
Dears!
Do you thing that Kosova’s independence it wasn’t right? I’m an Albanian Christian by Muslim background and really I have to say that this: God is almighty. If you turn back
in the story, you can see that for a long time there were attacks, murders, rapes and burnings by the Serb’s side (of course not all of them). Now everyone have to be glad, because the people there seems to have decide to give and end to horror. Please for God’s sake in JESUS’ name be more sensible.
Thank you
Thank you Stan for presenting so clearly the parallel between Kosovo and what the EU are cooking up for the declaration of independent ‘palestine’ with Mr Bush looking on.
t is time to be awake day and night on the walls of jerusalem as we pray and stand with beloved Israel, the ‘apple of Adonai’s eye’. No matter what comes He is watching over His people. What a privelege to be standing with them today.
Arianit, the problem is that this will give the Palestinians the idea they can become an independant state like Kosovo. And it has. However, despite the people wanting statehood, Palestinians do not meet the requirements to do so. Not to forget that the govornment of Palestine knows that if they become a state, then Israel will recieve favor to come against them for their attacks big time. The people of Palestine do not realize the struggle that Kosovoans went through to become independant. From all I have read about this subject it looks to me like the Pal govornment wants the people to believe they must be an independant state all the while they do not because of the ramifications for doing so. It would mean retaliation for their terrorist attacks. It would impede the destruction of Israel, if not stop it altogether. This is the understanding I have been getting from various op-eds and comments.
Kosovo is a cesspool of Muslim drug dealers, gun runners and human traffickers. The Christians there live in fear of the killer Muslims who destroy monasteries and churches as well as murdering any Christians they can catch. This sounds like a PLO state within Israel
I just read at JPost that Costa Rica has recognized the Palestinian State. Well, it was a beautiful nation who once greatly appreciated its Jewish citizens contributions. Could this become a domino effect among more nations?
